The polls fail at capturing independent voters, they treat skewed results as outliers that need to be weighted to the last election and they use other polling firms to calibrate their results. Today was a beautiful day to vote! My experience is unacceptable for anyone to experience. I did not vote on a political party, it was on experience, education, trust, and character. Someone that will lead our country with dignity, protection, and fairness to all no matter what color, race, or religion we are. We want to move forward and help build everyone up and have safe homes and futures for the generations to come. The only Australian media supporting him is Sky Australia, a sister company of Fox. It gives a very American right wing aspect to all of Sky TV's news broadcasting. It's not just Canadians feeling fearful of what will happen should he be elected. Australians also fear that especially as Russia is again spreading misinformation to influence American electors to vote for him. That should worry every American republican. Everything he stands for is a turn off to my husband and I and all our friends both gay and straight. A few of us had our hearts set on getting a Tesla this year or next year and all of us (myself included) will no longer even think about purchasing a Tesla. And for all those that say separate the man and the company. That’s a hard NO! all of us feel the same way and I have sold off 90% of my Tesla stock and will continue to sell the remaining 10% as the price increases. He is utterly shameful and disgusting. From how he treats his children and most specifically his trans child and his brand new support for Trump to using his company x to disseminate misinformation! The GOP has long been successful in conflating educated/expert/knowledgeable with elite/obscenely wealthy/oligarchical. Ironically, by and large, the former tend to be Democrat while the latter tend to be Republican. So, yet again (as has often been pointed out) every accusation ("They don't care about you! They're making your life worse and harder! They think they're superior to you!") is a confession. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to convince the Trump uneducated that they're backing the wrong horse and propping up those intent on keeping them down.

You can be smart without a college degree. There are plenty of paths to gain wisdom. It's that kind of elitism that turns people to voting for Trump.. They aren't looking at policy, they sense the disdain the political class has for them and their vote is an act of resistance to that. Kamala has done a better job of speaking to those voters, but it's a big push because there's a reflexive reaction among some to her identity that she has to overcome. I never finished any of my college programs, but I'd still vote for Harris/Walz if I could!
