I'm Scottish and my French ex showed me Stupeflip in 2014 or so? I remember thinking "what the actual fuck is this?" but I couldn't help but like it a bit. I'm now a French teacher and I sometimes show their videos to my pupils lol

I think this is one of the worst song to discover Stupeflip, the form is raw and very unique on this song and the content is pretty much adding background to the whole C.R.O.U, which is awesome but not as a first song. Still love the song and reaction tho

For me "prendre des ptits bouts d truc et les assembler ensemble " means "to be creative" and this song is about people who wants stop creatives people and associates them as crazy people . (Sorry i am french ( and I live in Belgium)so I can't explain all what I think 😅 I like this group very much and thanks for your video ( and I understand that is very complicated to love Stupeflip in this song 😅 They are an "institution" and a very old band for me ( I am 39 years old ^^) Stupeflip are a reference in france and Belgium :) ) It s very interresting to watch someone feeling the music and analyse that the lyrics are means. In the second verse it's King Ju who sings and not Pop-Hip because Ju was bullied and not loved by his mom, she thought he was crazy and put him into a mental hospital We can see the trope of bullying throughout "Le spleen des petits" Pop-Hip is only annoying and doesn't have a tragic backstory. Or it isn't Ju but another character voiced by the same guy.

J'ai découvert ce groupe avec mes enfants (j'ai 59 ans, comme quoi...) et j'aime beaucoup ce style tellement singulier, l'ambiance bizarre, glauque et le fait que ça raconte une histoire d'album en album avec des personnages récurrents, et le leitmotiv. Je les écoute encore de temps en temps. J'aime particulièrement "Stup monastère" et une autre dont j'ai oublié le titre (merci de me le donner pour que je réécoute ce morceau) dans lequel on entend le mot Kingju répété avec une sorte de cri et un enfant. Est-ce que le groupe existe encore ? Si oui, pouvez vous m'indiquer des titres récents qui ont eu le plus de succès ? Merci d'avance.
