I have my bike now since Feb 2020 - and I still love it. Although I had a replace today, because the ball-bearing was not working well. I use it alone, so the monthly payment is something - but for me, it is worth it. I use it very often, and I am happy. One of my best investments last year!

I purchased the Bike+ and I can confirm the auto-follow feature is simply amazing and the one I use the most. It's great to ride the bike without worrying about changing the resistance so frequently so I can just focus on the numbers to make sure I am within the range for cadence. Also, the speakers are really good. I heard the speakers on the regular bike are pretty much tablet/iPad kinda speakers and the ones with the Bike+ are like a mini soundbar with very rich sound and it gets pretty loud with you want to. I love the bike and I wish I had bought it sooner!

I'm a single Mom sadly just making the weight range but grateful bc I've lost 15 pounds since starting I.F....there have been so many times I wanted to workout like I did before my kid by going to the gym at 6.... that's a no can do bc there's no one to watch him... I was furious when one Mom was like "just meet a trainer like 5 in the morning", forgetting that her hubby was home with her baby .... peloton seems like the right answer.... for years I shelped my kid to the gym after school which interfered with his extracurricular activities or HW or both! I am excited!!

Love my peleton. Like you I use it at least 4 time a week. Over 130 rides on beginner rides. Gonna start advanced beginner soon and keep working up through the ranks. Usually do a warmup, the class and then do a cool down. Love the bike and instructors.

Love your review and totally agree with you. I love my bike+ and worth every penny. I also find it is easier sometimes to just hop on my bike and ride rather then head up to the hill for a skate ski, or head to the park. I also got my bike because i am busy and I am short for time so having my bike is awesome. I have had my bike for just one year now and i find myself doing alot of other classes from the libery as well as lots of classes on my bike. Peloton hands down for this girl. Its perfect for a busy life and its perfect for a great veriety of classes. I do not find it boring like at a fitnes gym after six months. Peloton I am #HereForEver Also I would say the Bike plus no regrets for me as i love the swivle screen and auto-lock feature aswell as the bigger screen. speakers is awesome no complains from me on the plus bike.
@pupuslinger
@pupuslinger 2 жыл бұрын
I just got a used Peloton regular, got a good price on it. I used headphones so the speakers are not an issue but they are pretty terrible. I did want to get the plus mainly for the auto feature, but adjusting the tension during the workouts is not as much of a pain as I thought it would be. I am pretty happy with it. I still ride outside on the road and mountain bikes, but the convenience of this can not be ignored. I get a better workout in a 20-30 minute class than I do riding outside. I think this is mainly because I can leave it all out on the bike and not have to worry about getting back home or to my car.

If you will use it 2 or 3 times a week do it. Great workouts. Had mine three months and should of bought it long ago. Especially if you are remotely competitive using the stats on yourself is motivating and with the 40 full membership doing a catch up class you can keep track of other riders doing the class at the same time as you. I tried a lot of the instructors gravitating to those I felt helped me the most. I like to leave the world behind and just focus on the ride. I also ride my bicycle and enjoy that greatly but on my pushbike I can freewheel : ) if it doesn't break your bank and you will use it you might find yourself fitter and stronger in three months!

Don’t be fooled into thinking you need $$$$ thousands of dollars ! And the $10 app per month gives you access to tons of rides with tons of instructors the only thing I don’t get is the live events and scenic runs which is fine cause you can find scenic runs or bikes on KZbin for free !!! If you don’t want to pay the $10 per month for the peloton app just use KZbin for free then !!!!

(besides the fact that the clip in shoes can be a pain in the a$$ and expensive & hard to clip out of....) for the SoulCycle bike, do you know if it is cage compatible? I read it is not. I'm feeling like, overall, the Peloton is a more premium experience than SoulCycle at home, which is just trying to keep up....

Live classes are great and the google maps ride anywhere feature is excellent. @larryshephard3045
@larryshephard3045 3 жыл бұрын
They just need to be delta cleats I believe. You can also buy cages so you can use regular shoes. I’ve tried both and recommend the cleats, you don’t need peloton brand though. Downside is peoloton does not have half sizes. I may try Nike in the future for a better fit

Which is better peloton bike or just buy a smart bike trainer with zwift?
@EETechReviews
@EETechReviews 3 жыл бұрын
Started researching getting a peloton, I'm an avg road cyclist with a $3000 carbon bike. I've been debating getting the Peloton vs a smart trainer like a kickr from wahoo. What you have to think about is how you currently train and what conveniences you want. Do you ride your bike in the winter or rain? I personally don't and like the convenience of having a peloton already inside, setup, ready to go with a few clicks. Maybe someone doesn't like using their bike with the trainer as it adds a small amount of extra wear the components and shortens your bike's lifespan (probably doesn't really do anything). My personal decision is between getting a Peloton + power meter pedals which I will put on my road bike in season (spring/summer) and transfer the pedals to the Peloton in winter season. I've also seen the ability to put the peloton in developer mode and side load apps like Zwift and bluetooth connect ur power meter pedals and heart rate sensors etc. So I'll probably go with a hybrid approach and have a road bike and Peloton. If you can find a friend or a stranger who will let you join their peloton membership you can save a lot of money that way, you just have to coordinate when you will ride as it only allows 1 person doing classes at a time. Hope this helps.

Do you have the Bike+? We're trying to decide if we should upgrade and I love the idea of the auto follow! Also I ordered the cages from peloton but I don't think they carry them anymore. At the time it was cheaper for me and my wife to buy one set of the cages instead of two pares of shoes.
@Sherunslow
@Sherunslow 3 жыл бұрын
@@BreakItYourself thank you for answering. I guess they don’t carry them anymore. Yes, I spent months jumping back and forth between the original and plus but finally decided on the plus and I think it’s worth it. The auto follow takes your mind off making sure you change on the resistance cues the instructor gives you. Also the swivel screen has been a feature I didn’t expect i would appreciate as much. Sometimes my Apple TV doesn’t connect to peloton app and I just use the bike screen instead. (My bike is in the living room). The speakers are bomb specially if you have the bike in work out room where you can have it loud. The only thing about the auto follow that I’m not sure if it happens on all the rides, or it’s just me hoping for a break or what. I have noticed on a few classes that there’s a delay change and I think it’s because the instructor is not specific about what the change is but sometimes I feel like I hear the instructor say for example “lower down your resistance” but the auto follow feature won’t change until it is followed by a cadence number. Not sure if that’s just me. Hope that helps! Would love to share my referral code if that’s okay.
