This guy just constantly keeps impressing me through out the presentation! Very good speaking and speaker-listeners relation skills and needless to say, I would proudly aspire to be THAT good in SOLIDWORKS one day !! just WOW!! MAGNIFY!!! =D

@@solidworks Do you have a webinar/ detailed tutorial on setting up part/assembly templates, drawing sheet format and templates? seems like every video on KZbin is skewed one way or another... any info would be appreciated, thanks

@@solidworks I am working on a multibody sheet metal design using "Convert to Sheet Metal" feature. I keep the body though out the process until I get to the last body where TI untick the " Keep Body" command but the solid body is still showing over the model. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Presentation starts about 5 minutes in. A little jarring/confusing before that since I didn't know what I was seeing. Excellent presentation once it started though.

why i can not open part in assy. model (.stp) without having make drawing first? in old version i can just select the part i want to open and work on it. in 2020 i have to go to drawing first and select the part i want to open. it's there a easy to open part from assy.(stp) file?

Thanks If someone send me a step file with a radius, can I produce a metal sheet with my radius? How do I do that?
@maxchen68712 жыл бұрын
you should first measure the sheet metal thickness, then use convert to sheet metal, select all the bends and you are good. Make sure the direction is right so the preview (yellow) overlaps with the original part. You can change the thickness but you CANNOT change the bend radius since that affects the overall geometry.

At 54:18 i'm intrigued. Is there special tooling on a press brake to bend a flange on a bend? Would like to see a vid on the manufacturing process. OK searched KZbin and found this which is how I think this could be done, called Tipping a Flange. Likely there are experts in fabrication who could add their expertise. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKCXnIGieduMldE
