Ignore the clowns clamoring for you to get rid of Greenberry. In spread offense there are naturally a lot of interceptions from how often the ball gets thrown. Plus you've upgraded traits to help reduce the issue meaning that the interception total is about as low as you could expect. If there is a problem on offense it's Shaw. Every time I watch him it's like watching Jerome Bettis try to be Barry Sanders. The dude is listed as a power back but ALWAYS tries a spin move even if just plowing through would ensure a first down. It might work in bursts but on most plays it screws him over. Considering his disappointing production, expiring contract, and your lack of funds it would be best to let him go in the offseason and make your first pick his replacement.

The reason you've been struggling is hard to see but also quite simple(if that makes any sense)... One thing I noticed is the longer you go on this series the better the teams around you get... To be honest your team has been pretty much a average team the last few seasons when you compare them to the other rosters. That's why you've been finishing with 8-8 or 7-9 records. I would suggest cranking up the aggression in the off-season to get on par with the top team's. On a sidenote a better coach with better coaching abilities would help as well.

My suggestion, and this is in no way a 100% solid hit is to fire Shanahan. Try and find someone else, hes just not been working out for ya. I would switch to the Patriots playbook or Saints if you want a really good air attack. My favorite is the Pats, because a lot of stuff is done out of shotgun and 3-4 wides. Also, I would let the season playout and then trade Anton as soon as you can, and try and make a play for a more consistent player. I think if you just had someone who didn't turn the ball over so much you'd be in great shape, hes just been a trainwreck these last two seasons.

Flip Greenberry for 2 first round picks and a mid round pick and fix a couple problems possibly. More picks to address the defense preferably in the secondary and D-line and get rid of Greenberry. He isn’t helping your defense by putting them on the field all the time with his turnover issues

After year five, managing funds get hard. Players you drafted are all wanting major contracts and it makes it impossible to sign anyone else if you do. I signed my 98 superstar QB who I drafted as a superstar 85 overall and he broke the bank. 181 million over 6 years. I couldn’t sign anyone else.

Cane greenberry's strength is playaction from what I can tell but in regular passing plays he doesn't do well so you need a qb that can do both or is a dual threat since read options are a possibility now

Cane, few things about the spread offense coming from someone who runs spread simulations all the time. You NEED speed on offense. A speed back is absolutely key as the spread offense uses your RB out of the backfield with screens so often. A 90+ speed back almost always gets you over 1k rushing and 1k receiving yards in a season and 10 plus TD’s receiving AND rushing. So your priority needs to be a speed back. And just so you know, the biggest benefactor in the spread offense is your SLOT WR. It’s why your rookie went off. Just so you’re aware if Wall eventually moves outside his numbers will drop. Also, Dion Mack is sadly just too slow to play in the spread effectively. For this series to succeed, you need to built that offense with speed because the spread NEEDS to score high amounts. Your defense will play a lot. You need to improve the safeties badly, a good safety tandem is so important in simulations to get your high scoring offense back on the field. And I know you’ve said you wanted to stay away from trades, but to keep up with the rapid growth of other NFL teams (every team improves in simulations) you need to built up picks and talent. Releasing Malik Jackson when you could’ve gotten a mid round pick for him in the offseason isn’t a mistake you can make if you want to succeed in this simulation. As always, I enjoy the content. If you play a spread offense it makes your defense worst cuz they're on more. and you don't control the clock. So you throw more passes but you play worst defense. I've done this before. you won't win championship simming in this offense

Do everything you can to GET A GREAT SAFETY in the draft. that last level of your defense is killing you. Your ROLB sucks but he'll be good next year. Need to get your quick progression rookie dt's some play time. This draft, snatch up the best end and safety you can possibly get, take a couple of each if you have to. And later you can steal a solid corner or lineman or lb if you're lucky

To help your defense I'd reccomend you start hayden and address his intangibles and switch deion jones to ROLB so that he's always in on nickel packages

Maybe change defensive playbook to a 3-4 so you can have more linebackers on the field and not dlineman. Trade greenberry for a first rounder. Trade 2nd recounder / players for cam newton or other mobile qb. Use two 1st round picks on DT / LB Draft developmental qb sometime.

I really enjoy watching this series but your problem is using the spread offense. I tried using the same scheme and my team went 4-10-1. The spread is not that great of a scheme especially when simulating.
