I have been friends with Corinne and Andy since '87 and always did SOS covers .. This version of Breakout is spectacular. Such tight lush arranging and performance. Beautiful!

@@michaelkohl9728 Thanks. Sadly I haven't seen Corinne and Andy in person since before Covid . At least 3 years. Though I talk with Corinne usually once a week or so in social media.Both are great and are still touring and gigging mostly this year just in UK and a few in Japan. Corinne keeps herself fit with daily swimming. Andy is always working on new ideas. Hopefully we'll get a new SOS album in 2024.

"Breakout" is a song by British band Swing Out Sister. It was released in 1986 as the second single from their debut album It's Better to Travel. Written and performed while the group was still a trio, it became one of their biggest hits, reaching the number four in the UK; in the US it rose in 1987 to number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one Adult Contemporary. The song also resulted in a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

Been a Swing Out Sister fan since 87’ and this is one of the best covers of the song I heard. You should consider doing “Coney Island Man” or “Notgonnachange” from their catalogue as well. I think your vocal range is perfect for those songs. 😊
