Ali Abunima answered Rania's question so precisely, truthfully and intelligently. It's so infuriating i know, and I'm noticing more independent journalists now crying out in frustration with the blame game. Why didn't and why can't these bigger countries do this , do that? Criticisms flying at Iran, Russia, China, even at Hezbollah. I used to be like that too last year until I educated myself more on our global geopolitics. Not every country support or try to stop something by bombing the daylights out of another, esp when it is not their country, and if their country' security is threatened. Like it or not, every country has to take care of its own people and borders first, as much as they may be aghast at the ongoing Genocide in Gaza. Only USA -West-Israel empire doesn't . They just bomb whomever they like, directly or using proxies. Every country has their own foreign policy as well. Rania, If you check out Ben Norton's coverage on geopolitics economy, Danny Haiphong's interviews with Pepe Escobar, The Cradle and Matt Kennard from the UK you will find it is fully shifting like you wouldn't believe. The multipolar world is fully happening, that's why the US and Israel continues to get increasingly brutal. Only a dying animal behaves like that, the imperial empire. The battle is from all fronts - geoeconomics, financial, shift in alliances - everything weakens the existing empire. Support doesn't have to come in the form of guns and bombs, otherwise we would all be totally nuclear annihilated by now. Definitely more to come, and how it will play, no one can predict, because the whole world are players on different fronts. Hope Gaza hangs on, and a ceasefire happens soon 🇵🇸✌️

Excellent. The only part I questioned the role of Turkiye. I don’t agree about the part blaming Turkey. Turkish is instrumental in supporting and taking in Syrians and the group that finally overthrew Assad. It’s what the US wanted to do didn’t do. Turkiye has supported the starving people i Idlib all these years of being living in the edge. The US doesn’t like Turkiye taking a buffer zone of peace to keep the PKK out of invading Turkiye . The US and some Kurdish militants don’t like that because they are there for the oil only as their power position and connection with other points. Also the new government of Syria will need a strong supporter to make its democracy work - else you’ll see Israelis creating upheavals everywhere to create chaos and turn it into a fanatic regime so they fee justified to invade Syria as part of the end goal: Greater Israel.

Mine is a somewhat unpopular theory because we all like to hold on to our sense of reality and our personal comforts, privileges, power, status etc but its based on connecting the dots from various disciplines. The common denominator is capitalism. Not that I dislike money or have an issue with making profit from skills, trade & commerce, far from it. However, that existed long before the concept of capitalism was thought up by British aristocrats to avoid the guillotine, protect their wealth & privilege & to retain their ‘power over’ the public Note the rather grandiose us & them split thinking and consider the subculture that they were born into. It wouldn't have been difficult to sell this narrative to the up and coming merchant class and even the unionised working public because at that stage they were colonising other parts of the world and they needed their labour. Capitalism has had to be reiterated upon a few times but at its core is the underdeveloped aspect of a healthy persons humanity. This thinking, ideology has been around for so long and have informed western "culture" for so long that it's almost considered a natural law by some. In fact, it's a manufactured "culture", a set of ideas and values that because it is perceived as a culture end up shaping our behaviour. For millennia we survived the savanna as prey because we learned to cooperate, rely on & trust each other to put the wellbeing of the collective first. Survival skills & customs were passed down by trusted elder who cared for future generations. Traditional cultures which values & principles were tried and tested over time. We evolved to become Homo Sapiens: The Wise Human As story based sentient beings we can be controlled and divided by both weapons and narratives, something that people with damaged and or underdeveloped humanity are willing to exploit Surely, we have a critical mass by now, that has evolved enough to understand that unless we prioritise humanitarian values before the value of the capital market, humanity will not survive, that instead we will keep marching towards extinction by either climate catastrophe or nuclear war pockets full of money. In the mean time our mental health is deteriorating at increasing speed. Wherever you look, what stands between us and humanity (peace and prosperity for all) is money & unenlightened people who think themselves (& or the tribe they identify themselves with) more valuable than others. But we are generations into this debacle so few can see outside the box, we're stuck in an ideological Plato's cave. A lord of the flies society that has now become so precarious even for the privileged middle class that they're becoming reactive. Wired as prey and living in a predatory culture in which human trust is slowly but surely is being eroded is leading to regression because we end up reacting from our limbic system instead of operating from our prefrontal cortex.
