Does someone who, let's be honest, didn't even struggle that much in life deserve that much respect? In my opinion - hell no. His skills are incredibly innate and thousands of scientists in the world (not only scientists actually) work just as hard as him. My only source of respect for Tao is his humbleness. He actually seems to understand the source of all his accomplishments is mostly his raw talent.
