@@whatever-wn1nk No, but the dude is a living math legend.
@whatever-wn1nk
@whatever-wn1nk 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheFuktastic about 80-90% of his math ability is purely genetic (IMO at 12 or smth, masters degree at 16, real analysis book written at 15 or smth etc.). Does someone who, let's be honest, didn't even struggle that much in life deserve that much respect? In my opinion - hell no. His skills are incredibly innate and thousands of scientists in the world (not only scientists actually) work just as hard as him. My only source of respect for Tao is his humbleness. He actually seems to understand the source of all his accomplishments is mostly his raw talent.
@TheFuktastic
@TheFuktastic 4 жыл бұрын
@@whatever-wn1nk What about Tao's work rate? The dude constantly produces high-level research. Without hard work and dedication that's impossible. And yes, the humbleness is impressive as well.

The most obvious joke here would be hinting at degree/credential flaunters that don't actually know much, and self-satire that he's a high school grad but more monetarily successful than those people even though those people likely don't aim for monetary success
