But was great to see you meeting a young subscriber and fan to make their day I was wonderful to watch and looked like he had a ball maybe next time you could head a little bit further along to lake Tyers to fish either below the water wheel tavern , no.1 boat ramp or mill point , and if you were feeling more adventurous you could go to lakes entrance, metung, eagle point, Paynesville and town in between as any of those place are within 1 hour of NowaNowa where you can fish for more species also my grandparents built the original cafe in Nowa Nowa and my Aunty and her husband had a sawmill there many years ago also if it wasn’t winter you could have traveled back to Wangaratta via the dargo high plains road or just via the great alpine road to bruthen as they are nice drives. Keep the great content coming
@robbiefishing3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. WOW You have a lot of history over there. I came back through Bruthen and over hotham. If I go over in winter I will go through Mitta Mitta and over Mt Wills. I use to do a lot of snow skiing in my younger years and my driving over Mt Hotham in winter days are over. LOL I was in a 2 wheel drive. I have driven the Dargo road years ago with my mate Loo. Beautiful drive. Is that 4x4 only or can 2 wheel drives travel it?
@bro0313 жыл бұрын
@@robbiefishing thanks for the reply the last time I went over the dargo high plains road I was driving my ‘99 commodore Ute and it wasn’t too bad but generally during the winter months the road is closed so many km’s Wangaratta side of dargo due to snow etc. the road comes out about 10km Wangaratta side of Hotham village roughly essentially going around the backside. And as for catching bream around the Gippsland lakes system you can catch them all year round same as flathead , mullet , ludrick , travally most of the common species of fish and in lake tyres you can catch big fish as it’s only open to the ocean a few times a year and you can also get snapper as well as king George whiting throughout the system so I guess it’s great for fishos over here from cann-river in the Far East through to loch sport worth doing a fishing road trip at some stage in your life with mates or the family. There is also good fishing I believe in western port bay and certain parts of the Yarra in Melbourne but come down to Gippsland first . Lol

Chasing bream on light gear can be hard work some days! Those "blue bait" cut in half will get slammed by bream. Flesh baits work great for bream. If you can get into an estuary where it enters a bay then you'll be getting a workout. A lot of the spinning gear you use for redfin and trout would also work on bream. Your Black Queen was probably designed with bream fishing in mind.
