Girl The Poppy War is GREAT. I liked it a lot more than any of her other novels. It's so engaging, nuanced, the characters are complex and amazing... It's the one book I'm always recommending.

The Poppy War series starts off good. I like the first book but as the series goes on I was just really frustrated and annoyed at the MC. It is still really good and could be expanded (writing a book focusing on the trifecta, or a prequel, just so much more!) I hope you enjoy it!! Also love your videoss

in answer to your review of yellowface, i personally think it's fine for authors of different races to write about other cultures in fiction or non fiction, provided they have done extensive research to make sure they are portraying the culture and other areas correctly. I would 10/10 recommend that you read the Poppy War series, they were some of the best books I read last year - the writing is so so good, and the storyline explores a lot of topics which are really thought provoking, so I would really recommend you give it a go! If you enjoy her work, I'd also recommend 'Babel' (which I'm currently reading) as so far it's also an amazing book :)
