Damn ive been searching for this kick tutorial. It’s exactly what i wanted to know whether to keep my ankle at a 90 degree when kicking. This helps immensely

I always associate the kick with the fastest way to squeeze the water between the legs. It isn’t just flexed feet kicking water but the power of two legs go from knee bend to straight, in the process squeezing the water between legs out. This notion to me create the most propulsion forward.

over 10 year of teaching, I found some people get the way to swim breaststroke so natural, other just don't know how to turn the foots out before the kick ( like what you talking about from Plantar Flexion to Dorsiflexion). that is right. to top it all, even they know and they can not do it much better, because they can't see how their foots actually complete the kick. They believed they did kick as being taught !! just once they see the video that recorded (by cell ) how they completed the kick with their knees open before the kick, ( instead turning the foots ), they even said that could not be me! In general, I think the video is great, but without a personal coating on side, to tell to tell him/her when they do it right and when they did not. the success is hard to achieved. Do you agree?

This style was once recommended for therapeutic swimming, such as treating spine curvatures. Currently, it is not recommended because it significantly builds up the front muscles of the chest, but hardly strengthens the muscles of the back. This is clearly seen in professional swimmers of this style who are hunched over due to a mismatch in muscle mass. However, for the treatment of spinal defects, this style on the back is recommended, where the back muscles work significantly, and both types of crawl, where the circular motion of the hands is very beneficial.

Yesterday at a meet my coach put me in a 50 breast. I've never done it in a meet before and I started with a flutter kick... Biggest face palm of my life.

Hello i love breaststroke but i have problems with my hips dropping which can slow me down a lot at meets such as 100 or 200 breast and i cant seem to fix it even when i try my hips just keep dropping

Marshall Matters there are a couple of things you can do. Two things come to mind, stronger legs and stronger core. If you don't think that is an issue work on your technique, but I suppose you are working on that since you are watching these videos 🤔. I hope they help. A problem i've had with breast stroke is hurting my groin muscles on my kick. How can improve technique to avoid that problem?

I am a beginning swimmer, what are the top three swim goggles do you recommend? And how do you maintain them from fogging while swimming?

+Landon Irwin the only goggles I use are swedes, but I know some of my teammates hated them. Probably all goggles fog no matter what you do. What I did was getting clear goggles so that even if they fog you can still see. Another thing is to get just a little bit of water in them and get the water out before putting them on. I do this almost by reflex now. Some of my teammates lick them before putting them back again. I'll probably do a video on goggles in the future ;)

Skills NT have you have time to do a video will be great I bought some swedes, and I find putting them together takes practice to get them just right... especially tying the nose section with small rubber piece. But man it's so fun swimming. Thanks for your videos they helped me learn the flip turns.

I am years late, but maybe helps whoever comes across: Fogging of goggles a history for me: I always shower before going into the pool (make swimsuit wet with freshwater = lasts longer. Not just rinse after) By doing that I take the goggles, pour a small drop of transparent (mild, not much oils) baby shampoo onto each eye field, hold under freshwater shower (or tap if you don't shower beforehand), foams up, gently dissolve shampoo for sure with a finger in that little pool of water in goggles without scratching the surface, you don't want to get any of that shampoo into your eyes when back stroking.....so well dissolved so it can flush out but leave a film. Continue putting under water stream and swish until foam almost gone. You know it when the foam bubbles become scarce. With these googles I head to pool and swish them again shortly with pool water to be rid of shampoo for sure and temperate to water, shake out well, don't touch insides now. Strap on. No fog the whole session even my face gets hot.
