Maz Koshia is an ancient sheikah from when the first calamity hit many many years ago I'm pretty sure. You completed the final trial and faced him in combat to prove to him you're worthy of the power of the ancient hero. He is distractable by bananas like the Yiga clan, though lore-wise he doesn't share the same ideals, so it's thought that the Sheikah used to live off of a diet consisting of mainly bananas in ancient times, but it's probably just silly game mechanics meant for fun.

Fun fact: The Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma wanted to have the Master Cycle Zero in the base game because exploring the game's massive world on a Horse reminded him of the very first time he rode a motorcycle. This idea was rejected at first because the staff thought it would break the game. So when thinking of a reward for Champion's Ballad, Aounuma insisted the idea again and it got approved. (They also had to get a motocross to understand how it worked.)

@@dragonix8527 didnt both sides sort of defect from sheikah, a hylian king thinking their technology was a threat. the difference being Yiga clan swore their allegiance to Ganon and used the sheikah teachings to kill Link, while the others(Kakariko Village, Ancient Labs, Pikango) try to live normal lives

But now you've beaten this divine beast, the theory goes, that this "divine beast" is Links divine beast, and that his champion ability is to slow down time, that's why he has the bullet time with bows in the air or when it slows down for flurry rushes and parry's. However part of that is a little bit disproven because you can watch Urbosa parry and time slows a little, but I like this theory. Anyways take this how you want, and have fun!

Such an ominous image does unsettle the god gamer himself, but he continues his work anyways, due to both an insatiable hunger for puzzles and his own curiosity as to what could be lurking inside. He fights guardians of all areas of the life cycle, learns yet more Minecraft redstone, figures out how to operate a fan, turns off a faucet, and finally navigates around a Fall Guys’ minigame course in his quest to open the Foreboding Door. And, for all his trials and tribulations, Quin gets in reward.... ...one spirit orb! Haha, anyway, time to go hunt for more sh- AAA IT’S ALIVE _IT’S ALIVE OH _*_GOD-_* Quin must now fight for his life to prove to this Boomer that he is, in fact, the chosen hero of destiny, because clearly the Master Sword forged from deities and imbued with a will could _never_ have made that decision on its own! Luckily for him, he’s learned many things on his journey across Hyrule, including how to be Good At Video Games, and so Maz Koshia goes down without a hitch. (Some credit to the ghosts in his pockets too, I guess.) And now, the real reward: A motorbike. Quin commits multiple hit-and-runs on his way off the Great Plateau, tears in his eyes from yet another one of Kass’ songs. Where is he going? Well, he now has a photograph he’d like to keep somewhere special, and his recently mended schizophrenic mind knows just the place. Our (mis)adventures end here, for today!

Go ahead and use ancient arrows, I think what everyone was bothered by wasn’t that you were using them, but that you were missing. Ancient arrows will only 1 shot guardians if they hit the eye, otherwise people will see it as a waste of an arrow. They do however one shot every organic monster (so NOT taluses) regardless of where you hit them.
