Breath of the Wild multiplayer completely changes the land of Hyrule. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this, so here's a quick glimpse at how awesome Zelda BOTW multiplayer can be!

IMPORTANT: Heya! This is not the online multiplayer mod Pointcrow has been talking about. I had a quick chat with him this morning so I wanted to let you know that his mod wasn't leaked at all or given to me early. That one will be far more robust and is debuting later this summer. With that said, KirbyMimi has been contributing tons of awesome multiplayer mods over the years and I've always loved taking them for a test drive. The one you see here does have bugs and was originally a split screen mod, but due to difficulties of trying to get a second camera to run without bogging down the game, it was converted to a single camera mod. Warping and respawning can sometimes cause the Links to swap their gear, so that is why you see their gear swapping throughout the video sometimes! There's other slow motion glitches and stuff too, but it is still a really fun experience!

Omg!!! That would be so epic!!!! A new four swords is needed, everyone has wifi these days no need for cumbersome cables. And a fours swords 3D type game would slap. I would love a procedurally generated Zelda game. Nintendo has yet to even dip their toes into procedurally generation.

I remember back when they were first talking about BotW, Aonuma really made it clear he wanted to incorporate Four Swords multiplayer into BotW. He really likes mutiplayer Zelda, and he's wanted to make a full 3D multiplayer Zelda for a long time, but I'm guessing they ran out of time for BotW and plans changed. Maybe for BotW 2?

I want this, I want a real player dark Link to invade other players worlds like dark souls at any time and have a duel. Dark Link can see the player position at the map at any time so way pointing out of the question. Killing Dark Link will grant awesome weapons and drops. BOTW2 i would call it a " 4 swords" multiplayer mode would be awesome as well

i gotta agree it’s kind of a lazy way to do the looping video thing. when you say “but” it’s supposed to be introducing a new idea. but the ideas at the beginning and end of the video are essentially the same so it comes off like “it was super fun BUT it was really fun to play zelda multiplayer!” alternatively he could have ended the video talking about the bugs in this mod, how it’s kind of a work in progress “but even with these bugs… breath of the wild multiplayer is crazy fun to play” either way interesting video!

And just imagine how fun and chaotic it would be if it was an online multi-player! I know it's not but playing with strangers is chaotic. The idea of botw multi-player is amazing and in my opinion, Nintendo should have added this to the game. Only problem about it is sharing the screen with your partner instead of them having an individual screen to move wherever they want.
