The whole setup looks incredible with all that scatter! Really brings it to life.

A clothesline seems very mechanically useful to me. If there is a big sheet, it breaks line of sight. That is disadvantage on range and no dice at all for targeting spells

Very true! I love all the ideas that are coming out about ways to use the clotheslines.

Good stuff! There are some interesting bits of scatter that I haven't really seen anyone craft before. I can only watch so many videos of crates or barrels... Anyway, definitely stealing some of these. I'm crafting a massive chunk of the player's city for my final campaign arc, there's good bits in here I can use to liven up the city. Cheers!

Thanks very much! Sounds very similar to what I was doing for my current campaign too. It's a lot of work to craft a big portion of city like that, but it was totally worth it! Every time it comes together fully on the table I get a huge kick out of it.

ok, the rust monster threat earned a subscription. That was funny and way too relatable. The map turned out amazing.

Thank you! And don't worry, that definitely, 100% was not a veiled threat at my players who watch these.

For real. One of my favourite ways to craft too, just kick back and do some little projects.

I think the scatter just makes things look more interesting, and frankly I'd want to, like, have my character swing off a clothesline and land on an enemy if a combat broke out. Makes it more entertaining instead of just "I poke the bad guy with a stick".

Same. When he was talking about it not really being for the players to interact with, I don't really agree. Sure, it's not necessary to, but I do find scatter like that helps me be a little more creative with how my characters interact with the environment, and a little more strategic than just trading blows. I would like to break one of those oil amphorae on the ground in a fight.

Nice job my man. I am creating Vespasians villa in England, so this was a timely video with some great ideas. The trellis and the shop shelves for amphorae are spot on for scatter around Villa Vespasianus, thanks.

I appreciated your thoughts on scatter and responsiveness to story. Never thought about scatter as more than set dressing before, gave me something to think about, thanks!

loved this video! i'm in the process of building some pretty detailed houses, and was thinking about catter terrain that could go well with it to make a more "lived in" town or city, and clothes lines was one thing i was thinking about, i think i'm going to make mall hooks on the ends and make corresponding loops on the buildings that make sense for them to hang from. anyways i'm really happy i found your channel, always cool to find hidden crafting-channel gems

What a nice thing to say - thanks very much! The hooks and loops are a great idea for that. I'll keep that in mind myself next time I'm crafting a building.

Obviously the point of scatter terrain is for it to go flying during your chariot chase through the city

Oh no, you hit a clothes line. Roll to see whose underwear ends up on your head . . .
