Wow, what a pleasant surprise to leave Dumaguete and enjoy the natural beauty of Valencia in Negros Oriental in The Philippines! This day was filled with swimming at the Pulangbato Falls, the steam at the Sulfur Vents aka Smokey Mountain, relaxing at the Red Rock Hotsprings and of course enjoying the amazingly beautiful Forest Camp pools!
This was definitely one of my best days!

I think this is the best tourist spot in Negros. On my last visit though very recently, the habal habal ride was 400 back and forth to Red Rock Falls, plus entrance. I didnt go. Because I have seen it 3 times. I just walk around and eat.

But i would not suggest u to go far in the south bec im not sure of ur security there being alone. In Davao yes but no to muslim region. I went to Forest Camp in Valencia 13 years ago when I was engaged to my now wife from Dumaguete. It was beautiful back then. I think it's changed, so I may go there with my wife and her family on our trip coming up in June. We also went to a place that you were at. It may be the same. It had a big waterfall with red rock walls with different color of stone mixed in. Very beautiful.

How long will you stay in Dumaguete? Will you come back? :) If you are interested in some other options: Go to Dauin and take a boat to Apo Island and swim with turtles, or go to Bais City and take a boat to Manjuyod Sandbar and to watch the Dolphins.. There is also a lot of nice stuff in the highlands, .. Just a few examples, dont know what you are into
