Well... I've played all kinds of gigs form stadiums to small restaurants or large loud boomy restaurants with monstrous acoustics ( like I imagine that mall has) ... Ya gotta be able to play the space. Had a few restaurant gigs that hired us more often bc we were one of the few bands who knew how to control our sound.

Had a venue try this with our band. Told me to play as quiet as possible as there was an older lady in the venue. I said fuck that. They cut the house PA after 2 songs. We didnt stop

The drummer is not shy per say, just noise restrictions in the mall - she had play “quietly”. She’s actually a supreme drummer .
