Absolutely agree! I keep BP's and Brazilian Rainbow Boa's and a small collection of Geckos. Variety is the spice of life as they do say.

Bredls are on my short list. They are one of Loris favs, very smart. I want one to keep at least. As to breeding, 2024 is the year for Snorty to get a new man.

With how bad the reptile market is, not to mention that the ball python market is tanking, it's not a smart decision to invest in any snakes. Even big breeders are having extreme difficulty moving snakes and now with the shed testing...who would even take a chance buying untested animals? Most breeders can't even focus on their one species, adding more just because of the prospect to make a sale is ill advice because if they aren't selling what they already have...they won't sell other snakes. The only solution is to cut back on the amount of snakes produced every month and let people's pockets grow.

Most successful business will not cut back. The ball python market is a great reason to breed a different species as well, as not all reptile markets are doing what the ball python market is. This ball python market was 100% expected to be this way. I have been saying it was coming for 18 months at least. Never have an issue selling, never needed to shed test. It isn't a chance if I can back it up with data. Possible hets would be the only thing.
