There’s been a few tracks in my life that I can distinctly remember the very first time I heard them this is one of them. The fact that it still sounds new 25+ years later says it all.

Electronic music had a good 12-15 year run. It was inevitable that things would get overly popular. When you have the likes of Budweiser and Tuborg sponsoring events that are based on music that itself is based on chemically induced highs...you know it's a fucking backwards situation. You can't have it all, I'm afraid. Just very grateful I got to experience it all in it's run up to and including it's peak. The world's a far more cynical place now, we were better off being completely ignorant of each other.

Breeder were the hottest thing in the late 90s. Their tracks would always mix awesomely into each other.. 137 bpm, A minor. +Best kick drums.

Rowan Blades and Simon Noble were the due known as breeder and they ran the peak time progressive production from 97-2001..Legendary tracks from these guys that Sasha would get all their production before any other Dj in the world..Sasha showed the world how powerful and talented these two were..Absolute legends in the progressive trance world these 2 are!!!

Pretty sure I recall reading somewhere they never bothered releasing promo copies. They just gave one each to Sasha and Digweed and let the reputation grow from there.

And yes, they're definitely Rowan Blades& Simon Noble. For some reason I think they're from Norfolk? No idea, their Wikipedia page has nothing on it! GU009 changed my life and that second breakdown is ridiculous! Always recall it was very short to mix out from though. My belt-driven bedroom decks had a torrid time keeping under control

TheSheepPimp I found progressive house very different from this though. the baseline and tempo has a throbbing sound which resembles a lot of trance back then. according to discogs the term for this is progressive trance.
