Adding Vanilla, fire certainly lightens and brightens the snake. One my computer screen, some of the Clowns seem Ghost as well. I know, for some reason, snakes are not flattered on camera. They are much more beautiful in real life. You seem to have an amazingly beautiful, bright Pastel in your collection. That is all from line breeding? Your best Clowns are the most beautiful snakes I have ever seen. Had you not lived on a different country, I would have bought a snake from you.

Hi Kary Ann. One of the biggest difficulties in filming or trying to identify snakes from photos or videos is the fact they display living colours that change as you manipulate them in natural light to different angles. It's this that the camera doesn't see. It's this that allows the eye to see some of the differences in visual expression of the various genes. We do the best we can for these ID videos and hopefully it helps. I don't believe in "experience" or "feel". I believe in definitive, visible characteristics that anyone can see if they know what to look for. The pastel we have to which you refer is what Arawin calls his "Lemon Pastel" line. Not all our animals have this line and we work hard to maintain the purity of the strain, trying not to mix them up. Pastel being an incredibly common gene, a lot of animals bring in different "lines" which look a lot different and don't always age so well. It's important to keep records of what's what in the pairings. ARP can export, but its only cost effective for consignments or batches, not individual snakes, so we would need to work with a distributor who doesn't charge a big premium for his cut. The exchange rate right now makes prices in the US or UK very competitive from us, but shipping costs are high. This is something we need to work on and certainly something I will be exploring in Korea on behalf of ARP.

Lovely collection can I ask what dimensions are the red tubs you use and where did you get them from? Thanks for your time look forward to a reply 😊

Hi mate. These are locally made tubs by Twin Dolphin twinsdolphin.com/ Available in a wide range of sizes and colours, these are the 2418's which are 56cm x 44cm x 16cm. They range in size from 2414 up to 2419's so cover all sizes of Ball Pythons and are actually marketed as storage trays. Twin Dolphin make a wide range of trays and storage boxrs in many different styles. Please remember I don't use heat mats in the tropics and there is no temperature gradient in my tubs so the dimensions can cater for the snake, rather than a temperature gradient. The racks the tubs are in are also locally made and very simple in construction, again because they do not need to cater for heat mats.
