Appreciate mr brown helping with the spawning skills but with this way of spawning, there’s a bleak chance a good amount of eggs will fertilize. How this spawning sequence works is, you should have a minimum 2 males for every female for best hatching rate. Secondly milt from the males first needs to be mixed & than you can bring in the female. In this way the fertilisation rate will be higher & it all should happen in few minutes & if i be too specific 1.30 sec’s max after the milt is been exposed to the water & the reason we do females after males is bcuz the eggs, if comes in contact with water without milt mixed in it will suck in water through its outer membrane due to its adhesive nature & majorly gets infertile. & Finally keep the eggs in same milty water for atleast an hour or two and later flush that milty water n replace it with fresh aged water or clear cycled aquarium water of similar temperature. Just than add few drops of methylene blue to avoid fungus to grow on eggs & add an air-stone for a continuous little (at lowest setting) airflow just to break the water surface tension. Temperature between 20-30*Celsius, more the temperature the earlier they’ll hatch as the eggs will normally hatch in 3 days when the temperature is around two to 26*Celcius & you can try doing 20-40% water change if the water becomes murky in these embryonic stage days before the eggs are hatched. Stay Kool.

First off: stellar video with a great keeper. You've been my first exposure to Mr. Brown's and I'm hooked. Two things he said resonate in my mind as something that tells me all I would ever want to know about how awesome he is as a person "I'm rich with joy" and "Somebody's cull might be somebody's champ" - absolute perfect mindset.

apparently for older goldfish that have already bred, to trigger another spawning event, they have to fast and overwinter in cool temperature... you can breed much older fish that way.

Great video as always Jimmy! Those fish are gorgeous with that natural light. Lots of fishfam love to Hawaii from here in Canada. As a tip, when hand spawning, always work the males into the tub first. The female’s eggs become impermeable in under a minute, so the milt has to be in the water first to get the best fertilization and hatch rate. #goldfishunion !
