Just finished flying them round trip from Provo to San Francisco aboard their E-Jet product in Nicer class. Fantastic experience! IFE was activated and worked without much trouble. Flights were on time and staff were friendly. I'll fly them again for sure.

Great job. I felt like I was almost on the plane, too. Just one heads up. Orlando airport is modeled after Tampa, not the other way around. TPA is a decade older than MCO.

Also fun fact: Tampa Airport is the words first Airport to use the Hub-Spoke model with Skytrain's connecting the Terminal Islands. A true innovator of an Airport.

I like it. The A220 is my favorite commercial aircraft right now. Also I really like the 2x2 configuration, I think it would be an awesome call back to the golden era of aviation if the entire cabin was in that configuration. The only con I see is no IFE system, which I've grown fond of watching the map on most IFEs to see what I'm flying over. I digress, if they ever find their way into the DFW market, I will definitely use them.

All in all l would definitely fly with breeze the only thing which isn't bad was the lack of hot water however a cold splash is always welcomed during a flight.

I have flown breeze several times back and forth from BDL to VRB. I have utilized nicest once to try it but for that relatively short route I find the nice seats comfortable enough. I have always had coffee as a drink. I have a San Bernardino to BDL flight in April and I’ll do the nicest seat on that route. Overall I am very happy with Breeze, especially since they fly directly to VRB.

My local airport recently made it so you can actually walk up to your gate, look out the window even, and I got to watch a jetBlue A220 take off. Even outside the aircraft cabin, the amount of noise reduction those geared turbofan engines provide is amazing/mindblowing.

First of all, your report was stellar, as usual!! I have to say that, although I wish Breeze every success, there is just something about them that hasn't quite excited me yet. For some reason, I just don't really feel the need to fly them. I can't put my finger on it, but there still seems to be something missing. I am a HUGE jetBlue fan, but with Breeze, I'm just middle-of-the-road. Like I said though, your report was excellent. Maybe I'll warm up to Breeze in the future.

@umbreonpokemon8190
@umbreonpokemon8190 2 жыл бұрын
What is there to be excited about? They have this “new airline aura” going on presently but overall they charge for everything, Wi-Fi isn’t available at the moment but will be an extra charge as well when it gets installed. No hot meals for first class, no pre departure drinks, no seat back IFE. If your a frequent traveler there isnt much they offer you. If you are looking for an “experience” well they don’t offer that either. They fly a cool plane with an awesome paint job. That’s about it.
@tpajay
@tpajay 2 жыл бұрын
@@umbreonpokemon8190 They don't charge for everything as you stated. They are more of a full service carrier with amenities. The basic economy section is like that of most US airlines. They do charge for snack/baggage. The Nicer fare (economy plus) includes 1 FREE checked bag & 1 carryon. You also get a Kind Bar & bottled water here. The Nicest fare (A220s first/business) offers 2 FREE checked bags & 1 carryon. A choice of a complimentary snack & drink to chose from their menu. If the flight is over 4 hours, Nicest fare gets a premium snack & drink choice (including alcohol). Everyone is offered complimentary water, coffee, & tea upon request on all flights.
@umbreonpokemon8190
@umbreonpokemon8190 2 жыл бұрын
@@tpajay lmfao they are definitely not full service or anything close to it. Have you never flown domestic first class or even domestic economy in the last decade? basic economy DOES NOT pay for snacks or a beverage on legacy airlines. EVERYONE not in first class is probably paying for alcohol though. everyone in the back gets the free bag of pretzels or biscoff cookie etc and more than a bottle of water. They can actually get a can of soda if they wanted so try again... Nicest Fare on breeze is not giving passengers anything more you wouldnt get in first class seat on American or Delta. As a matter of fact Ill argue you get considerably less. On these airlines you actually get a full plated meal in first class. Nicest gets you 1 free premium snack and a drink? Give me a break. Its all unlimited on these other airlines in first class where you get a Meal and a basket of snacks the entire flight! Everyone gets complimentary water and tea on breeze just like any other airline lol I hope other passengers dont think this is FULL service as you alluded to. Its better than Spirit or Frontier sure and probably better than Southwest if you are headed where breeze flies but they are not Full Service. AA/UA/DL are FULL SERVICE carriers. When breeze starts serving their first class more than 1 snack then maybe we can talk about changing this narrative - the sad thing is coach on these legacies gets unlimited snacks too upon request. The cabin crew doesnt check to see how much they paid for a ticket. All you are missing out on with basic economy on a legacy is a carry on bag and an assigned seat and that only makes up less than 10% of the passengers on a given flight Breeze charges for everything in the back and the things they dont charge for in Nicest dont compare to first class everywhere else. There is a reason why they are flying these planes from buttfuck nowhere. Launch that plane on LAX-JFK and see how many people are willing to pay for Nicest
@tpajay
@tpajay 2 жыл бұрын
@@umbreonpokemon8190 Yes. I have flown first class in the last 10 years domestically & started in the airline industry in the 1970s, retiring a few years ago. I've been in a lot of 1st class cabins both domestically & internationally. You said that you pay for everything on MX. That simply is not true. I stated the baggage allowance earlier for Nicer & Nicest. The Nice fare, you have to pay $39 for 1 bag, $40. for 2 bags, & $50.for 3 bags total.......not for each bag). I'm just going to use one airline to keep it simple: DL (an airline I enjoy flying). If you are in the main cabin, the 1st checked bag is $30.00, the 2nd is $40.00 (both under 50lbs). DL' s flight fuel boxes are for sale. They do also have free non alcoholic drinks & basic snacks in the main cabin. What legacy carrier are you referring to about no baggage fees in main cabin & all snacks are free, etc.? If you fly frequently in 1st class & always get a hot meal, you're picking the right flight for meal service or it's a long flight. I've been on DL. AA, & UA First Class in the last few years & that's not the case on a lot of those flights. If it's off peak time, it can be a basket with snacks to choose from in First. As far as where MX flies, their policy was to use secondary airports to larger markets (i.e. TPA, LAX, LAS, etc.) No airline likes competition & an LAX-JFK market would be a real challenge for an upstart. They do fly nonstop LAX-HPN which has the 5th highest median household income in NY State; 47th highest in the US. After all that, my point to you is that they don't charge for everything as you said like low cost airlines NK, F9, G4, or SY. The legacy carriers do charge for baggage, and some snacks if you're flying coach.

I was supposed to fly Breeze in their nicest class from Norfolk to Los Angeles in July. They canceled my flight (and didn't tell me until 12 hours later - I discovered it when randomly going to their website) and had no reason for the cancelation. Eventually found out that they postponed this route until 2023. I had 5 tickets booked through them for me and my family. They gave me a refund and a $100 credit. I don't know if it was $100 because I have one account or $20 for each ticket, but I was pissed. Tickets were comparable on other airlines when I purchased from Breeze, but now other airlines were 3x more expensive. I canceled the entire trip as a result.

@@hooforce It's really frustrating. But I get it - they're new. I just wish they would underpromise and overdeliver rather than the other way around. It's always nice to expect one thing and then be blown away when it's better than expected. I also wish they'd communicated better, offered more in terms of support after the cancellation (they don't have a phone number to call and nobody ever replied to my DM that their support page directed me to), and compensation as an incentive to consider them in the future. I'm was so excited for Breeze and I still am, but this experience was definitely a bummer and will make me think twice about booking them for something important.

According to their website, MX offers a snack & drink of choice from their menu in "Nicest" and the kind bar & water for "Nicer". If the flight is over 4 hours, it's a premium snack & includes a free alcoholic drink. Did the F/A tell you that you needed to pay for a snack or did service amenities change since your flight? I wonder why you didn't have the coffee/ tea service because the website says complimentary water, coffee, & tea are available upon request. We are taking them CAK-LAS one way in December for $304.00 each first class. Not bad for a flight 4 & half hours & it will have the premium snack service.

If the flight is over 4 hours long, they serve a premium snack & drink (including alcohol). Not sure why he didn't get 1st class service. Also, complimentary water, coffee, & tea are available upon request. I'm sure Airbus has their top scientists in Toulouse working on water-heating technology, and we should see major breakthroughs in this space within the next decade. But your coffee might get cold while you wait. In all seriousness, this seems like a very nice aircraft. If JetBlue is buying Spirit for their A320 fleet and does not plan to keep the ULCC nickel-and-dime model in the long term, it would be nice to see Breeze grow and fill that role. Or, if they don't make it, then there will be a very new fleet of A220s on the market in the coming years... but I wish them success! So how much longer can Southwest hold out on providing power outlets? When they rolled out the "Heart" interior in 2016, they said they looked into providing power at each seat, but they couldn't justify the added weight and maintenance costs.

As nice as this product may seem on a 1 hour flight, I definitely won't enjoy going transcon with no streaming or WiFi on board. But, the A220 is definitely a nice way to fly no matter how far you're flying. However, for a transcon flight, some bare minimums have to be met. I'm sure Breeze is well on the way there.

Fully agree with you, I've done 4-5 hour hops on the 220 in economy (Air Canada and Delta) and had zero things to complain about it. And Breeze does have a very solid product, comfort-wise I'd take this seat if its at a good price, otherwise I might reconsider them on flights over 2-3 hours

Looks comfortable. It would be great if they were to start serving New Haven. All we have now is Avelo. Breeze flies out of Hartford, my preferred airport, but the flight frequency is limited.

An odd routing--TPA-RIC-SFO--flying east then west, FAR west! 1st time ever I've seen a plus sized flight attendant! Have no immediate want to fly the A220, that groaning sound as the engines throttle up either for takeoff or as reverse thrust kicks in drives me nuts! I'd be upset too if there was no coffee available for a 6am flight! And I'm not paying 3.50 for a 12oz soda!

According to their website, complimentary water, coffee, & tea are available upon request. He says that he is in 1st class (Nicest fare) in his video & the website also says that you get a snack & drink of your choice from the menu. If your flight is longer than 4 hours, they offer a premium snack & an alcoholic drink. The Kind Bar & water is what is offered in Nicer fare. Not sure why he didn't get 1st class service; maybe the amenities changed since he took the flight.

I suppose if one has to go to non-mainline city and Breeze is an option, and you are aware of exactly what they are not, then have at it. 🤔 As for me, I’m not brining a thermos of coffee/tea along nor am I bringing my own food either. So it’s a NO from me. 🙄

We are taking them in November from CAK to LAS in Nicest class & looking forward to it. The fare is reasonable too.

Wow the plane is really nice. But the costs for the soda 3.50 is a joke. I get it for free soda in other airlines. I will pay alcoholic drinks but not soda lol.

First of all it is not in any wilds of imagination a first-class cabin, you don't have a lay flat bed, privacy screens, food included in the price of your ticket, access to an airport lounge, etc, they can't even supply you with the basics of service ' a hot drink. What you have there is a sub standard premium economy cabin.

If you go to their website, you will see what the amenities include for the Nicest fare. If flight is under 4 hours, you get a snack & drink of your choice from the menu; if it's over 4 hours, you are served a premium snack & drink (including alcohol). You get 2 free checked bags & 1 carryon. Tickets are refundable, changeable, etc. The Kind Bar & water is for the Nicer fare & you get 1 free checked bag/1 carryon. Complimentary water, coffee & tea are available upon request for anyone. I've asked this question to him as to why he was served Nicer amenities instead of Nicest but no response. We are looking forward to our CAK-LAS trip in Nicest section on MX in November. It's over 4 hours & will be the premium service.

The seats may be nice, but if anything goes wrong you are utterly screwed. Was supposed to fly from SFO to Charleston on the nicest seats. They cancelled 11 hours before takeoff for 'mechanical issues' and hey, guess what? They have no customer service number. You have to text or use facebook messenger. What? WHAT? Took forever to reply back. We had to cancel our whole trip.

I was not aware that Airbus was building anything in the US, and not Europe. Given that Boeing is building in Alabama now, and not Everett, with the drastic fall in quality and reliability that followed, do we reasonably expect the same for Airbus offerings? Airbus was Europe, and quality. Disappointing.

AVOID this airline if you need to be somewhere. I scheduled my flight from Orange County CA to Orlando FL more than a month in advance for a cruise ship vacation. Then today, a few weeks before the trip, I get an email saying that "we made a change to your flight" and now it's giving me a bad schedule when the cruise ship is at sea. I had to cancel for a refund. But the worst part of it is that with my super busy work schedule, this is wasting my time to research and re-book with another airline! I knew that "low budget" airlines are nothing but trouble, but I thought I would give Breeze a chance because I could get their "nicest" seat which is a pretend 1st class. I have never before had an airline change the booking on me like this without some unexpected weather or air traffic control event. Breeze is UNRELIABLE I am learning from other reviews. I learned my lesson again to avoid the stupid budget airlines.

And that is why you either book your flights directly with the shipping company, as then they are responsible for you to reach your ship in time, or you plan at least a night at the departure port of your cruise. You live, you learn!

The constant use of subtitles explaining the obvious are quite annoying- spoiling the need for video images. Just write a video and leave the plane out of it? 😂
