this track is so peak… oh my lord this thing is astounding to listen to, part 1 feels chill but ominous, you know whats ahead and its building to that in the best way possible. phase 2 adds in a way that works so well, i love the added percussion and the synths theyre so good…. phase 3 really gets epicsauce and this feels like a true heartside track with how it feels tense and climactic. phase 4 is the best of the prior two by adding the strong drums back and it feels so climactic, like a true ending, and phase 5 is the whipped cream ontop to a beautiful track. i love the section at 2:48 (and repeat this for when each phase plays this same bit) its such an effective change of pace from the standard wc motif and it feels so good to listen to oh YEAH and the fact that this whole OST has the wc motif, wearing that inspiration on its shoulders is such an amazing touch coming from someone who started and first entered the community playing that. its such a great detail and in a way it almost goes to show how far the community has come i suppose it makes sense too - as a counterpart to winter collab, which only had expert and gm maps, this uses the wc motif in a map pack with beginner, int, and adv maps. we have the whole spectrum covered ^_^ i joke of course. thank you so much donker for putting together this insane contest, and huge props to abicus for all this composing, your music never fails to amaze and this track is no exception. when the collab/contest of the year award for 2024 comes around… ssc 3 is gonna have some serious competition. thank you all ❤❤❤❤

Wow, my second contest I mapped for, the first being the intermediate contest, and now this! This was such a fun contest, the heartside and all 74 levels were very fun and unique. After seeing people play through Mechanical Forest, I have seen areas to improve on for future beginner maps that I make. I loved mapping for this contest, and it was super cool to be in the heartside as well! I wonder what big thing I'll make next, maybe this Christmas! Wonderful heartside, donk!

I'm pretty sure i almost cried the first time i heard this posted, so needless to say I'm INCREDIBLY glad that this actually ended up being used in a finished project because it 100% deserves to be heard and recognized for how peak it is.
