Breezer Radar X Pro a mini review and first ride.

This is my mini Review of the Breezer Radar X Pro.
I'm a weekend rider, mostly road. I wanted a bike to tackle some of the rougher roads and hopefully do some bikepacking with and this one I feel for instantly.

Yes I know the bike is dirty and yes I will be cleaning it after posting this video.
I hope to add some more vids about this bike and some of our mini adventures and who knows where that will lead.

No doubt that Breeze's competitors are frustrated with his pricing. As far as trail focused bikes go, this is a no brainer. It's on point with the geometry and spec. It's no mountain bike and it's definitely not a road bike. It's differentiated from most other steel gravel bikes. I think Breezer is onto something here. Nice video and nice bike. Imagine paying $3k for a Niner frameset.

Thanks. It's still the most expensive bike I have, but for me it's well worth the money.

Thanks for this! I am seriously considering this bike..I would be coming from an often overmatched aluminum cross bike that I still have a lot of fun with... My concern with the Breezer is the weight... Since you have a road back ground, can you comment on this? It looks to be a bit of a beast

yeah it's about 10 pounds heavier in ride trim than the road bike and I was expecting that as it's a steel frame and the wheels/tires are large but it rolls great with good gearing and I don't really notice the extra weight until the grade gets really high. Also I have frame bags on it accounting for some of the extra weight. I just stripped the bikes of bags etc. and it's 11.2 pounds heavier than my road bike. I have the small and it's hair under 30 pounds in weight.

What size frame are you riding? I'm 33 inseam, 5'10" and found the 54cm too large as it's standover is 33.. Going to go with the 51cm frame as it as 32 standover. Great look at the bike ~ thank you for the video. These are great, no nonsense bikes from a company with a heritage. Great to still see them around.

I have the 48cm small, I also went by the standover height. but the fit was amazing out of the box. yeah Joe sold the company to Advanced sports international in 08 but he's still the frame designer as far as I know, so the heritage is still there.

I have the same bike for 2 months now... I love it! I only have other tires on - wtb nineline 29 x 2.25 What pedals do you have? Have a nice ride on this steel beast!

The pedals are Shimano PD-EH500 so I can ride flat or clipped in.

Yeah it's a tank. The ride is amazing, by far the best bike I've ever owned. BTW your Close Encounters vid is awesome.

Thanks for the vid. I know you mentioned the differences between the X and X pro, but would you say the differences are worth the extra $ for the pro? Seems like it but I figured id ask since the difference in price is decent

I personally went with the pro to get the full hydraulic brakes and that paint colour. Also I didn't have a chance to test ride the non pro model. But the differences may not be worth it as the drivetrain is the only difference mechanically. For the $500 difference you could grab some awesome bags/gear and head off into the sunset.

We're about the same size and I found that the Small/48cm frame was a perfect fit. But I did have a chance to try it out first.

Good evening, Thank you again for your answer which confirms that I would need a size s/48 for this bike. I will have a last question Regarding the bike rendering, what would your feel on the road without looking too much performance in a walk?Because I would like to use it both on the road and to know if its weight is made a lot or not.Thank you for your new answer, I try to get the best idea about this bike that could not try it,I already have answers and yours would be so important to me.🙂

@@maskarin1000 I'm able to ride it miles on road without fatigue to get to the dirt roads. It's definitely slower than my road bike but way more comfortable. it's about the same weight as a fully kitted out town bike (racks and fenders etc) . With the pedals I have it weighs 13.5kg.

Thanks. I have the Small and the fit is perfect I'm 5' 9". I'm usually a medium and a friend has a Radar Cafe and he too went with the small frame when he's normally a medium. hope that helps.

Amazing bike. I like the design of this machine. The only thing that bothers me is the weight... I have a (cheaper) XC Hardtail MTB bike, which is considerably faster (that is easier to ride) than this beast... So, Breezer Radar X should be cheaper, or should have a carbon fork for the same price... These steel frames are really cheap to manufacture so the price is really exaggerated.

yeah it is heavy but I'm not exactly racing anyone, not with my weight and wimpy legs. Saying that, it feels like it will take a pounding and keep going.
