Brekete Drumming From Ghana

This is an amazing video that was shot when I was in Ghana, West Africa of a typical Brekete ceremony. The two main Brekete drummers kill it and the talking drum player is unreal!! This was shot in the Volta Region of Ghana and played by the Ewe speaking people from there.

Most of the times it is like this, in an academic environment it is impossible to convey all the subtleties of a real situation, anyway it is really important that this traditions are studied by as many institution as possible...this way they will be preserved instead of being lost
