Im a main gunlancer and i really enjoyed this. Can i ask what the benefits of having the counter gunlance combat skill? I see you use it when he does power up attacks otherwise its not being used to often. Would it suit a different combat skill for more damage? Can the gunlancer still just absorb the damage with shield up? Im running a similar build but shield bash instead and sharp gunlancer instead of upper dash for continual dps.

im thinking for a solo fight he no longer needs to keep up party shield, counter gunlance def gives him a backup emergency tool. it gives 100% hp shield for 2 secs and has a tripod for 30% dmg redux or extra dmg buff. after decent cd gems on your skills and fire bullet tripod i think red gl has decent continous dps already

@@Bazooona yep baru hit the nail on the head. I also chose the stun tripod but didn't end up using it here, it was just for extra safety especially the blue pulse charge mechanic

Personally I started using it on my GL too after I experienced how powerful of a tool it is on Glaivier If used properly, you can sit in the face of the enemy while dishing out more dps. Sometimes that single ability is the definition of "mechanics are for losers"

@@lajosszucs6579 its a good skill, its just counters become far more important later on beyond Argos. So dash upper fire is the preferred skill

You'll probably get most of your MVPs because of your stagger dmg contribution rather than your overall dmg in most cases. If you want to fight over overall dmg, you should reconsider another class that primarily focuses on that like zerk, sorc, db, any fighters

If you want the most dps go with a glasscannon class, or berserker Tho I do want to mention that dealing raw damage will not take you to MVP screen You said you want to be the best dps, kinda sadly, 95% players want that too
