So good. WA is definitely one of the most beautiful states in the country. Next July i have a big 7 week trip planned through the desert from Coober Pedy along the Anne Beadell Highway up to Laverton, Karijini National Park, Port Headland up to Broome then Cape Levique, Gibb River Road, Kununurra, Lake Argyle, Wolfe Creek Crater, Tanami Track, Alice Springs then Lambert's Geographical Centre of Australia, Chambers Pillar where the trip will end at Kulgera Roadhouse. It's with a camper trailer club and i just can't wait! But i'm really hanging out to hit the West coast! Cable Beach in Broome etc. I want to catch a fish on the west coast. And i won't leave until i do! LOL. I will definitely retire up there somewhere, so beautiful. Your videos just give me extra inspiration AND knowledge about our beautiful country. You've sold me. I'm gonna become a patron.

Love it!! Thank you so much for being a patreon. Your going to love our next episodes especially going through the Goldfields, its beautiful country. That's a great route you have picked, loads to see! Hopefully we can pump out some 'before you leave check these' or 'what spare parts we took' videos, would they help you out?

@@Sparkysontheloose my pleasure legends! I'm really looking forward to your next uploads! Prep videos are always good! I would be arrogant if I said they wouldn't help me out as there's always something we haven't thought of before a big trip, no matter how good at preparing we think we are. So yes I'd love to see videos like that and they would help many others too! Cheers guys! I bought a stubby cooler!

Loved this video. It was a pity that you did not stay in that area for long as there was so many places to explore free camping can be found in some off these places. The mill you found was a mine the poppett head had been removed many years ago. Where Kurt got stung by the bee was the shaft now filled in. The mines name was the Mouri Queen the other image with a head frame in it was the Yellvetton Mine a rich copper and gold mine. It is now full of water. Keep up the good work cheers Daryle

Haha Kurt was right after all! We would love to hang around longer but everyday on the road costs money so we do our best. Most people would've just drove straight through Ravens.

If you went straight to Esperance from Ravensthorpe on the main road you missed some awesome campsites and scenery along the coast. Fitzgerald National Park all the way along to Masons, Starvation and Munglinup Beach and then further along to Quagi. Stokes would have been a no-go because of Rusty but there is a heap to see along that bit of coast.

Bugger, if I catch them again I'll get them a go. They have very mixed reviews on eating quality.

Yes, a bit like the reputation of mullet and tailor. Eaten really fresh, they are all really tasty. 👍😀🐠🐠

@@Sparkysontheloose Oh please dont underestimate herring. Like Jeff said, freshly caught and eaten they are a fine fish. They dont freeze well so dont catch more than you can eat. Caught and eaten the same day is the way to go, even the next night they are nice as long as they are filleted the same day as were caught. They are also a good bait fish so i understand the trade off lol
@Sparkysontheloose5 жыл бұрын
haha i catch some monster herring in esperance which you will see in the next episode. I use them mainly for fish bait and crab bait but i only keep around 4 as the freezer is normally full of amz crap.

Ah bit of local knowledge would have helped, never seen salmon caught where you parked up with the van but about 500m further around and you would have had a fighting chance. It did surprise me a bit when you went down onto Bremer beach with the van on, credit to the NAV there! Did you get a salmon while you were there? I seem to recall you replying from a post in another vid that you did. Anyways, another great vid so thanx
@Sparkysontheloose5 жыл бұрын
Local knowledge is good but it was a ghost town mate haha. I think the salmon run was on its way towards Perth so we missed it regardless. We caught one in the next episode but it was a pretty disappointing size haha.

I have a tip for you. Buying clothes. I hate it. Trousers do you know your size. Before you put them on. Button them up and put them around you neck. If the touch right around then they fit on your waist.

Nice tip again Russ. We love shopping op shops so that will come very handy.
