Though the Bremerton, WA area is expanding by attracting future homeowners with its 'Fast Ferry Service' to/from BREM/SEA with its comparatively lower housing/real estate costs in order to attract younger $$ professionals, know this: It is 'Red,' it will always be 'BRIGHT, BRIGHT RED.' (Many, many locals actually pronounce 'Washington' as 'WaRSHington'; and job opportunities/career growth are predetermined, e.g., 'limited,' by established military/shipyard 'Nepo-babies' influence/selection, even in the local public sector.) Additionally, once the lower-ranking 'enlisted' personnel finish their military tenure, they cannot afford associated costs to return home/relocate elsewhere; thus they remain in the area, further contributing to an already economically distressed community.

In 2003 I had my 1994 bright red/maroon Lincoln mark 7 serviced with an oil change that had the odometer reading on it I also bought new low pro tires and chrome rims. While driving across the Warren Bridge I came to a stop at the red light but Sgt. Larry Hill in his red/brown 4 door Ford bronco was too busying paying attention to me and not the red light he barreled in between through car’s damaging there side mirrors and ran the red light and pulled into a parking lot. When the light turned green I drove to him to ask if he was alright he replied yeah so I drove off. I went to a friends house to hangout then left crossed the Manette Bridge and a officer turned his lights on me so I pulled into a parking lot he approached me and I asked why I was being pulled over he said for speeding but he also said he didn’t see it and he got a call from a detective to pull me over. Then he said a detective wanted to talk to me I’m like why this is supposedly a traffic stop with hearsay the detective approached he looked scruffy long beard and mustache wearing a hat he had red glossy eyes honestly he looked high. He introduced himself as detective Aaron Elton with special operations group I asked him why have I been pulled over and no joke he said it was because “ You fit the description of a male Hispanic driving a red Lincoln “ I’m like no shit a you are racially profiling me then he asked to search my car I said NO then he said wait here till we get a drug dog then a officer arrives Bill Endicott and his black drug dog he did a search of my vehicle and found nothing. Then the detectives huddled up to discuss what they were going to do next. I had enough I rolled up my windows and locked the doors and said you either have to place me under arrest or let me go then Sgt. Larry Hill replied or we can damage your car if you don’t give us the keys I was in disbelief and scared they were armed and threatening me for my car so I gave my car keys to Aaron Elton of SOG he got into my car and drove off with it they all drove off. They left me there to walk home and I’m thinking I cannot believe what just happened I got car jacked by the Police so I walked home explained to my family what just happened. Mean time my friends are telling me they are seeing my car being driven around it’s not hard to spot it’s the only kind like it in a small town like Bremerton one of my witnesses spoke to one of the drivers of my car it was Randy Plumber. I had enough and got a video camcorder they had my car stored inside a light green make shift fire station then my car was moved outside. 3 months later I’m making monthly payments on a car they are driving then almost 3 1/2 months later after they stole my car I was driving to pick my mother up from work in Port Orchard we were driving back the I noticed the same red/brown Ford with Sgt. Larry Hill following us I told my mother don’t get nervous but I think we are going to get pulled over she has panic attacks and sure enough on Callow in Bremerton he hit his lights with other officers I pulled over and they drew there guns at me and Sgt. Larry Hill threatened to take her house my mother she was having panic attacks she who worked at the fire station . I was placed under arrest but bailed out and retained a lawyer I even went to the BPD office spoke with Chief Tim Wolfe told him what happened and he just laughed at me. Finally the day came to report to court and the first person who was on the stand was Aaron Elton my lawyer started asking him questions and the Judge heard enough he caught Aaron Elton lying on the stand and the Judge said you got in this man’s car and drove off with it yeah, I don’t like this, this case is dismissed and the lawyer asked for my car and belongings to be returned and the judge ordered it be done. Then I get a letter from the BPD saying I never claimed ownership of the vehicle and they were going to auction it off to hide the evidence that they were driving it using it as a undercover drug sting car. I contacted my lawyer and he spoke with a representative of the Judge of what their intentions were. Finally 6 months later I got a call to come pick my thing up from the Police Department when I got there my car was already running I got my money back. Then I returned home and waited till morning to see what they did and I brought out my receipt with the odometer reading the mileage did not match it was WAY higher my new tires were to the wires and my new chrome rims had been curb checked I was so upset. So I took it to civil court in Silverdale I had the city the officers involved served meet with the judge for about 3-5 months explaining the original Judge ordered what they did was illegal and that Aaron Elton got into my car and drove off I took pictures of the damage and showed them the receipt and the current mileage. I also had witnesses and video recordings of it being driven around then finally I was going to have my day but at the very last minute they switched Judges and he told me he knew these officers and I’m thinking I’m never going to get a fair shake for being Hispanic a week later I received a letter from the Judge stating the officers did nothing wrong and I wasn’t surprised I just wanted my car fixed and what cracks me up is this hypocrite Aaron Elton posted a video about car safety on KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWSxpXeVm9t9mqMsi=lYyMSB98QNnHplsT what a freaking joke he is corrupted. Been here 13 years downtown. No stores, no supermarket, Salvation Army on 6th has the largest population of Un-Housed people on the entire peninsula, If your going to drive through Bremerton be prepared to spend 30-45 minutes going from red light to red light. And finally, Bremerton has the highest number of genetic birth defects in western Washington...could be the radiation.

We moved to Bremerton from Hawai’i in 2015. It will take dynamite to get us to move. Livable weather, temperate seasons, spectacular summers, few mosquitoes, no poisonous snakes, no poison ivy, and wonderful people. Anything grows here easily. Seattle may as well be in another state. Their only influence on our peninsula is their wacky politics infecting the state resolutions.
