Supermarine S 300 refers to the Snyder Trophy winner seaplane, and father of the Spitfire fighter. I like this dial more than the usual Submariner style, companies go for , and the overall style of the watch.

The scratch resistance on Bremont watches is no joke, I had the Broadsword Recon and I'm still kicking myself for selling it.

I would say these are positioned as a step up from Sinn, finishing wise. They are lovely watches but for Msrp a bit much. On the secondary market these are better positioned. One available now for $2k at Toppers, while a Sinn U50 is is $500 more.

When I have that problem with a rubber strap, I remove it from the watch (important), curl it inside a coffee mug and soak it in freshly boiled water. It usually works and no strap has yet shown any sign of harm.

For a similar look I’d buy the Hamilton Navy Kaki White Diver and save a ton of cash, but thanks Rob for the suggestion.

As a UK microbrand, Bremont is marketing their watches as high as Tudor. And about twice more than "Monta" USA company which also produces similar specs and quality as Bremont. Bob, do you see (since I never had one in my hand) that this Bremont can justify the asking price for their watches? Does it look or feel that high end? in the same range and horology as Tudor and few others? Since I have never hold one in my hand (but you did), I am very curious....

They make some lovely watches, but their pricing seems well off when you look at what else you can get around their price point. Their branding is much more aesthetic than CW though, really dislike the CW branding.

@@markotoole7937 Yup. I also agree on CW branding issues. It seems like they still haven't found their branding identity. Since the beginning of CW, they have been experimenting with different ideas which so far hasn't worked.

Not alot to be impressed with here, bremont have little cache but certainly charge like they do. Its pretty tacky how they have latched onto British military, air force and racing history to give their brand any sense of depth, but to each their own..
