I like the look of those new prototypes in the background of your clip. Could you expand more on when you will begin using those more?

Hey Bren, good vid, but this got me thinking... Could you do a video of the pyranha kayaks detailing the differences between the Burn 3 and Machno as the details from Pyranha are a little vague. This would be really helpful.
@PyranhaKayaks5 жыл бұрын
Hey Andy, the Burn has a real aggressive edge and flat hull for crisp carving, beautiful ferry glides, and snappy eddy turns - it doesn't have much bow rocker to allow you to engage that edge easily by moving your weight forward. The Burn's hull also lends itself quite nicely to surfing and has solid primary stability (although edge awareness is important). The Machno has big bow rocker to ride up and over bigger features, and level the kayak out when landing a drop - it's SO easy to boof! The edges on the Machno are more pronounced towards the stern (but still not as sharp as the Burn) to engage for tracking but stay out the way on confused or shallow water; bring your weight forward and you'll release them and be able to swing the boat and change line. You'll also find that the Machno has plenty of speed for punching features, but you can just as comfortably ride things out in it at your own pace.

@@PyranhaKayaks hey that's good to know, I love my burn 3 and wouldn't want to change it, but it's good to know the differences. Maybe a kayak comparison option on the website would help? Really appreciate the info and continue the great work. 🤘👍 Andy

@@andydainty6055 That's a great idea, sadly we're often too busy making kayaks to have too fancy a website! Ultimately, the proof is always in the paddling, especially when you partner that with good coaching ;)

Seems pretty wild, I have been using a Dagger Axiom for quite some time and I love it, but I always wanted to try out pyranha kayaks. I think this was the push that I needed. Love you videos, keep up the great work and always stay safe. Especially in the water! ;) Ps: What camera did you use on the footages at the end? I would guess a gopro, but wich one?

Could you guys compare Ripper to antix? I know they're different brands but I'm wondering which is best

damn. praise where praise is due. not here though.... JUST KIDDING !!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is due exactly here! this is a perfectly executed version of showing off your new toy. i also really like the way you give a little insight on how you think about the machno and original 9r. looking forward to the boats showreel! - and testing it myself of course. because the truth is in the pudding as a wise young man once said ;) if you want to create another short video you could make a short "roomtour" through the boat, showing the inside, fittings, handles, tell us about the (new?) colour schemes and most importantly show off the shape and explain what it does. what are the strong suits (and tradeoffs) of the boat.

Looks awesome! Would this be a good starter kayak for someone looking to get into whitewater?

Cheers dude, It could work for sure but I think a better bet would be a Pyranha Burn or the Machno!

The thing I liked about the original 9R was the narrowness. I've found that only the Zet Five and the 9R don't feel silly wide whilst also not being really short (like the Veloc). As a smaller paddler I am sad that one of the few boats that fit me well is going down the enlargement process. (It may bring the original 9R down in price on the 2nd hand market though).
@zachtom31325 жыл бұрын
I think the original 9r will still be in production. I'm in the same boat in that I really like the narrow and fast boats.
