OMG! I almost end peed my pants when Laura found out Brenda doesn’t keep track of her fabric used! 🤣😂🤣😂 To Brenda’s credit she does remember a lot of the fabrics she uses. I understand being overwhelmed, there just isn’t enough time in the day and even when you retire there still won’t be enough hours in the day! Diet Coke + straw: Bend the tab back over the opening and stick the straw though the small hole. Straw will stay in place. 🥰

You guys! I went to the Attic for the first time two weeks ago while in town for a family wedding. I got to meet Jean and Carolyn and had the best time! My husband waited very quietly and patiently in the comfy chair by the window while I took my time wandering about the shop and in turn he got to eat an In ‘n Out burger for lunch. I realize from some things you said today, and from a post recently, that you have experienced some sorrow recently - and I am sorry. But you absolutely made me totally laugh out loud several times, mostly around the whether Brenda has written down the linen she used for things she has finished. You two ... I almost had to pause the video to go to the bathroom during several minutes of this video. I'm so glad you are back, and thank you for all of the inspiration. Interestingly, I have finished that Lost sampler from the WoW box - it is an object lesson for me. And I have carried on stitching on the #bbdweekendsal (and usually remember to post something on instagram!). I love doing Blackbird the first weekend of every month!

I have been challenged by my middle school students to finish Land I Love by July retreat. I have been fairly monogamous since Feb. 19, which is not my ‘norm’. Your video brought so much joy to me. Good to see you two again. It's May 1 today and snowing here in central Alberta (wet snow; we needed moisture so badly we're not even complaining!) Thanks for the mention of Mason Linen. I'd never tried it but Traditional Stitches is the vendor in this part of the world (maybe in all of Canada; I don't know), and they recently had a selection of Limited Edition linen from Mason. I scored a piece of 40 count; it came in the mail this week -- looks gorgeous! RE: Stitching from the bottom left: Caroline of Evertote does that most of the time. It would make me nervous too; I prefer to start in the top left. And...Lakeside. Yes, I know it's hard to find...but again, Traditional Stitches came through with a piece of 32 count Vintage Bisque for me in that same order (above) that I got last week. I'm going to use some of it for Jeannette Douglas' "Garden Box" smalls (I have my own antique sewing box for them; it was made by one of my grandmother's brothers a good 100 years ago or more). Definitely "Lakeside worthy", eh? 😊

Brenda, Three things: Your finish was gorgeous, your bowl presentation was a great idea, and 3 Laura gave you marching orders. Keep track of what fabric you are using. The people want to know! I appreciate you sharing your charts. Some people collect stamps, cars etc you collect cross stitch. Go for it❣️

Loved seeing the two of you. I’m on team Laura on keeping track of the linen! I know I wasn’t asked but that’s just my 2 cents. I still can’t get over how funny it was when Laura found out that Brenda doesn’t keep track of what linen she uses! The shock on Laura’s face!!😲😂🤣 So all this time when Brenda tells what linen she used, she just is going by memory?? If so, that is amazing!

Wow! Brenda was certainly “hepped up” in this show! I agree that I often feel totally overwhelmed with so many projects and I don’t have a quarter of the charts, kits, projects as you do! I agree, designers need to take a few years off!! LOL! You guys were hilarious when Laura reprimanded you for not writing down your fabric used! I loved it!! Guess “marching orders” go both ways! Love you both, enjoy what you are doing, and please keep enabling me!

OMG!! I could not quit laughing at all the side comments after Laura found out Brenda doesn’t keep records of fabric used!! Brenda, your public wants to know! LMAO You two are such a hoot! I was hunting for a particular start today (made the mistake of doing so while husband was in the room), and also had a few heart palpitations from all the goodness. I think hubby’s most ridiculous comment was “why do you need to buy another thing?” He can be such a doofus sometimes! LOL Happy stitching! Hugs!❤

Florence Mary Dickenson is indeed beautiful. When it came out I ordered it even tho I'd never done a sampler. Laura said "it's just one stitch at a time" so I started it on Jan. 1, 2022 and finished it May 12, 2022. I was sad to finish her, such a good time stitching it. Looking for a new sampler to start now. Have completedA Samplerfor My Mother recently, which was my Jan 1, 2024 start. You 2 are bad influences!!!! Only in the best way of course. Your flosstubeis my favorite, keep them coming please.

Glad to see you ladies back! Brenda - I heartily agree about your "deadlines" philosophy! When I left the accounting world in CA to move to small town CO, I said I never wanted another deadline job. So what did I do.......... worked part time in accounting (no longer) and got my Real Estate license LOL....... talk about deadlines!!! Thanks again for sharing all the beautiful things...........

Must admit it was hilarious seeing Brenda channel Laura and Laura channeling Brenda LMAO. We never get to see Laura putting everything back in the bags and Brenda pulling from bag after bag 😅. Love watching you two! Now that Ann Grimshaw is finished 8be moved on to an old WIP, Sneek by Long Dog. hopefully that will be finished in 2 weeks 😊
