C’mon now, they were acting like typical teenagers being interested in Beverly Hills and movie stars and basically jealous Brenda got to go there. And Brenda again with her high and mighty behavior acting like a true spoiled Beverly Hills kid. “My boyfriend drives a Porsche and friends drive beemers” is a line every teenager would brag about and that’s what she’s doing here. It’s perfectly normal they would have questions like that, after a while they would stop as the topic would become boring. But hey this is a show…and they had to make BH kids look awesome.

I don’t blame Brenda at all.. I’m from LA and when I was younger in jr High actually .. I move to Boise Idaho for a year.. kids either liked me cause I’m from Los Angeles or hate me .. I also was asked if I met Tom Cruise lol … this was 1999 compare to 1993/94.. so I felt bad for Brenda .. her Minnesota friends looked snobby and 90s preppy .. Brenda was so pretty and 90s stylish .. I’m glad she went back to LA…

It would have been great. Unfortunately it was unthinkable for a production team at the time to separate a teen gang, and they used to keep all the kids together at the same spot, even if it meant screwing some of the plotlines. That's why they didn't send Andrea to Yale, for example. In today's TV shows however, it wouldn't be a problem at all to have one of the kids being in an other school for a whole season or more.

It actually was the original plan to have Brenda attending college at Minnesota in the 4th season. It was a way to essentially write Shannen out of the show while still keeping her on the series. They were basically going to have her just phone home once a week or so. This way, she was completely isolated from the rest of the cast. however, she was actually getting along with the cast while filming the first couple episodes of season four, so they chose to bring her back to Beverly Hills and reintegrate her into the show. That quickly fell apart, which is why they came up the Stewart storyline; another way to isolate her from all of the main cast except Brandon. Of course, we all know what happened at the end of the season…
