Thank you so much for actually mentioning this. There's so much Rich Brenda Fassie History & Accomplishments that we new young music lovers don't know. How I wish we were told, taught more about her. We need a biography or an up to date; Life Documentary/ Biopic. This would fill in this gap🙏❤. By the way, where did you learn about this? maybe I could visit your sources too and learn more rich knowledge.

First time i heard this song was after its release. We were in a bus on a school trip to the Free State(OFS) at the time.This song made all of us go crazy as we danced all the way on the bus. We'd never heard it before, and it came like a breath of fresh minty air to take us out of being almost suffocated by american music. This was our own thing, a real game changer for everyone. We were so taken by Brenda,s vocal prowess. Iconic duo, Brenda & The Big Dudes. Case closed.

Hmmmmm are you sure? Am not a South African but globally Lucky Dube is inarguably the most well known celebrity from that country. In fact the most loved and celebrated African musician of all times. Go to Brazil, Japan, New Carlidonia, Germany, Jamaica and Australia etc his songs are played everywhere around the globe.
@Masechaba2 жыл бұрын
@@martinjames8310 I'm the biggest fan of both her and Lucky but she's the best musician this country produced, period. The most well known does not always mean the most talented. Lucky Dube is a legend, there's no doubt about that. But in SA, Brenda trumps him easily. The only reason Lucky's music managed to reach international recognition is because he sings in English, whilst Brenda sings in vernac, with only a handful of songs in English.
