I love your playing..working on my bass drum foot technique. Are you always pretty much heel up, and how do you keep good balance?...thank you.

I play heel up about 85% of the time. But I don’t play with my heel as high as I used to. My foot is a bit flatter (horizontal) now. It helps relieve the tension in your leg. I enjoy warming up with a double-pedal because it keeps my legs symmetrical and relaxed.

@BrendanBuckleyDrums thanks! wish I could watch ya play. I'm trying to not bury beater as well...relieving tension is huge for me. I get more tense on a slower beat, say on "everyday feels like sunday." If I start overthinking it, I tense up.
