Let this be a lesson to all of us in grace. I am not sure I would be so forgiving, when someone brings you to your knees, you have no idea if you'll ever be able to get up (in his case) mentally, emotionally, physically, financially was the least of it. In spite of that he managed to rise and then give thanks to her. He is a treasure for all of us to behold. Humble, graceful, incredibly talented, emotionally intelligent, wise, funny, Goodness me. I *literally* screamed when he won. Screamed. This couldn't happen to a greater man. I am so happy for him. He's thoughtful with his words, kind to those around him, genuine in his demeanor. I'm blown away by all of the love he has had sent his way. His fan base is rightfully growing by the day. Why would anyone want to play a 600lb queer who abandons his family. I will say, the part fit Brendan like a glove after he left his own wife and kids in 2007 for that male crew member on The Mummy 3. That kind of behavior should never be rewarded.

I'm so glad that he actually seems glad to be where he is. I was worried about this when he made his "big comeback" because Hollywood stardom isn't for everybody. It sounds like an easy life, but it isn't. It destroys so many people, especially sweet gentle people like Brendan. And though I always wanted to see more of him on my screen, that felt like a selfish wish. I don't want him to come back to a life that almost destroyed him, just for my entertainment. I'm relieved and overjoyed to see that he's not just experiencing "success" again, because the way Hollywood defines "success" is sometimes toxic. I'm glad to see how happy this success makes him. He deserves above all to be happy-and if he can be happy in this crazy world of stardom, I'm so glad to have him back.

It SHOULD be a TIE at the OSCARS for Austin and Brendan! They BOTH DESERVE IT! The last time anyone tied for a WIN was Best Actress in 1968! Hepburn and Streisand!

Butler was oustanding... He just got bad luck to be in the same awards seasons that this man. Fraser acting is in another level , for real. In the last five years Austin been win each awards.

Yes I feel Austin Butler should have won...he acted, sang, danced...He becam Elvis....Sorry but I am crying ....Austin is the real deal...

Agreed. I’m getting tired of all the adoration of Brendon. ( lots of people go through though bits in their lives and everyone isn’t praising and demanding they get an Oscar.) He is mediocre at best. Austin deserved the SAG and the Oscar.
