Brendan Strydom is an explosive Loose-head Prop who has the strength and steel of a serious scrummager as well as the flair and finesse to keep up with the intensity modern game. Having spent his U19 year with the W.P. Rugby Academy after making the Valke U18 the year before; Strydom developed his conditioning and knuckled down on his scrummaging technique and became a stalwart in the front rankers in 2016. Having been apart of the greater W.P. U19 Squad and represented the W.P.R.A agains the likes of France U19 & Baby Boks U20 to mention a few; Brendan has gained immense experience in his year and has become the player you now see today.
Defensively he is a brick wall and rarely slips at the chance to make a big hit. Able to mix it up with the backs as well produce some barnstorming runs in the near fringes; Strydom almost completes the package of the modern day Loose-head Prop.
Here are his Highlights for 2016
