Thank you so much for your nice video. I have a question, though: How much monthly/yearly should I contribute to justify the relatively high fees ($3 monthly on Acrons)? What would be your minimum contribution recommendation? I'm feeling anything below: $1,500 yearly wouldn't be worth it.

Brendan, Robinhood is the reason I was compelled to start investing because there was nothing like it before it. I don't think it is anywhere near as bad as you say and I've been using it for 6+ years.

Robinhood is a great app for people who are not gamblers and know what they are doing. The app is great and I am tired of watching people hate on it. They are losers that do not know what they are talking about. I buy IVV and QQQ very easily in Robinhood and I am patient and can do my research and TA to decide what price I am willing to pay and while I wait I collect currently 5% on my cash which is better then most high interest savings accounts. Robinhood gave me 3% on my Roth IRA deposits and 1% transferring in from another brokerage. The problem is not Robinhood! It is the dumb ass doing dumb ass things on Robinhood like buying call options on a meme stock

Numbers sound great on paper, but it’s important to remember that investing is not just about the numbers. The psychology behind investing is equally important. If it’s your first recession or you get fearful, you could end up panicking and selling. If you think you are one of those people, then having an advisor as a roadblock could affect your returns. According to a Fidelity report, the people who did the best in their investment accounts were people who died. The reason behind this was that these investors didn’t try to trade or jump in and out of the market at bad times.

Hey man, I was looking for a non-US citizen investing app that I could use.. Most of the apps you recommend sound awesome but I can't access them as my country does not allow it. There are a few investing apps but most don't allow US stocks. Do you have any recommendations? I live in Malaysia.

Yeah they are typically limited in the areas they operate which is unfortunate! Look for a service that has the qualities of a good investing app, not one worth destroying a pineapple over! (I can’t really test those services since they likely aren’t available for me either!)
