Hello Brendan, How did you quickly modify your model when the client asked you to double the loads in the design you talked about. I am a huge fanatic of BIM. Please help me out with how you went about it that after doubling the loads the sizes and everything updated. I'd really love to know our workflow

I think problem with this is that the business model of design firms is based on billable hours. So if you make it more efficient, you are losing money basically. There is very little incentive for design firms to make this transition. Only way to make this appealing to them is selling it with the quality point of view, instead of efficiency

In my market very little work is by the hour. Trying to maximize productivity is an absolute win. That being said, as our work tends to be much more generalist type work, it’s kind of a new problem every time. I would love to get paid for every hour I work, though!

quick sollution is to take the same time do deliver the project... (if you did in weeks and now do in minutes, keep delivering in weeks) in the meantime, start working in other projets

Hi Brendan. Why did you leave structural engineering consultancy at a young age? I mean you are just 45yrs old, i think its too young to leave structural engineering.

hello, I'm not 40 yrs old yet 😂, and I'm still working in the structural engineering industry.
