Dolomites Photo Spots and My favourite Photo of the Year

I was excited to get into the Dolomites again for some landscape photography. These are some of my favourite photo spots in The Dolomites.

There are some awesome photo spots in the Dolomites. I mean, you could really do landscape photography in nearly every valley you find here. But, on this trip to Italy, I wanted to focus my photos on some of the best photography locations in the area.

Ah, memories come up from 2 years ago. Such a great place to be. Need to go back there. Still some of my most favorite photographs ever: San Giovanni and alpe de Siusi. Just looking at my prints. Seems like a great trip again.

Cape disappointment located on the Washington state coastline, in the winter there are huge waves that battle the coastline. Great scenery in Italy and awsome views to photograph.

Love the video, always interesting hearing your photography thoughts at different locations and comparing them to my own thoughts at those same locations. That reverse mountain messy reflection in the lake that looks painting like is so cool, talk about an eye for composition. I'm commenting while watching... of the first two Dolomite images, I prefer the first. The sky is more interesting and the mountains are more prominent compared to the second. But the light was really flat. The reflection shot had much better light and I agree it's one of your best this year.

Loving the return of travel photography vlog. You and Greg have inspired me to get back out there travelling. Just returned from Hamburg Christmas markets. Had a great time. I tried my hand at doing a travel vlog in the rain. I had a blast. Do I remember correctly. Do you film in 60fps including A Roll? That mountain reflection shot is a winner. Keep up the hard work . I’ll be following along in 2024.

I record almost everything at 60fps and then bring it back to 30fps so it's slow-mo. But, I also at times record in 120fps. Glad you had fun doing some vlogging! It's a great way to push yourself to explore more.

About your tripod & safety, you might consider carrying it with ball had down, I tripped one time with max size tripod and BH55 and it smacked me on the back of my head and nearly knocked me out. On some terrain that could be bad. Hated to do it but got a more compact sadly less sturdy tripod for camera pack hiking. Wish I was there, one of my favorite places in the world. I looked into moving into the foothills where it was affordable only to discover that with my health situation I have to remain closer to USA doctors where medicare is accepted.
