Panic! At The Disco frontman Brendon Urie proves to us that he can play any instrument and tells us how he got started in this "This Is Gospel" run-through on the band's 'Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die' tour.
+Ellen Parker Speaking from experience. Once you learn one instrument really well. the rest can follow quite easily.

+Radio Atmospheret Two years after I started piano lessons I started violin lessons and it was a lot easier as I could recognise the notes quicker, but I didn't like playing it and it was getting in the way of my education, as I had lessons in school, so I stoppe learning I would like to learn guitar but I love nail art, so I have relatively long nails, which aren't the best for guitar playing We have a drum kit in our coach house in the garden, but I don't really go into there and I'm not really into that kind of thing We have several violins and a few guitars and a keyboard and my mum can play the guitar

The clarinet was my first instrument, then it was bass clarinet, guitar, bass guitar, glockenspiel, vibraphone, piano, drums, tuba, a little bit of trumpet, I started out from singing a little to singing a lot, banjo, ukelele, and I started picking up on my friend's dulcimer (which is now my favorite abstract instrument to play). I even pushed some boundaries and made some melodies with my two delay pedals. Brendon: **taking this in so well**. That's cool. Anyway...have you heard my new album? Me: '_'

I‘ve been playing guitar for 18 years and have to say being a GOOD bassist takes some serious skills and practice. Guitarists playing the bass will only sound like guitarists playing the bass, but never like a real bassist! (Although we like to joke about bassists 😁)
@amelijaceica96174 жыл бұрын
@@Ger360Master i think he meant that everyone can play bass, just like anyone can play guitar by learning a few simple chords. You won't be the best at it but you *can* play it. Becoming really good at it is a different matter, but the most important thing is to start, and you won't have the courage to start if you already think that you can't learn to play. Really this goes for any instrument. Its late, idk what im saying, basically you just have to start, everything else will come with practice. Everyone can do it, you just have to be patient. Ok i dont even know what im talkimg about anymore, bye

I honestly really love Panic! (the old Panic! and the new Panic! Both are pretty cool) You know people are arguing with each other about how Brendon draws all the attention to himself, how Spencer's in rehab and all that other stuff. I just don't want Panic! to turn into a band that people love because of how cute/hot the band members are, not because of their music rocks. You can't deny that Brendon has talent and it's a big one. His voice, how he plays a lot of instrument like a proffesional... But lately it seems like (everybody's sick, everybody's dying -just want to make a Panic! reference lol) everyone is just focusing on Brendon's face, not his talent. And I'm also telling that why is everyone is so obsessed about his ego or how Panic! At The Disco turned into Brendon! At The Disco? Why some people act like being a celebrity is an easy task? God, celebrities are always judged by evrything they do. And also imagine how Brendon is feeling when millions of girls being perv about him or think how Sarah feels about that. It's just too damn hard and noone sees that. I don't know what I'm defending here, I'm just sick of how people act about them. Most of their fans didn't even try to understand their music videos or lyrics to their songs. They are beautiful, I bet you can even cry when you understand how the story is and the connection between the lyrics and the music videos. Being a fan it's not just memorizing their songs lyrics and scream them in their concerts. We should all stop being such a jerk about everything and focus on things that we really should focus on.
@16stormocks9 жыл бұрын
Ayda Yurtoğlu I couldn't agree more with you. Because what you said is true, a lot of fans now a days (not just Panic! fans but every fandom) The girls in it are basically only liking what they see and not what they hear.And it pisses me off because Brendon is such a talented person (not to say the rest of the band aren't I love them as well) But with me when ever I hear a new song of theirs (or any of the other bands I love) I'll admit I listen to it on replay for days (No Joke I did that with this is gospel and my siblings were very annoyed.) But at the same time I do that, I write down the lyrics on this piece of paper and I go line from line figuring out what that song means or what it stands for and the music video I watch them numerous of time because they're so... Dramatic and deep. And I'm going to use this is Gospel for another example but when I watched that video it reminded me of a lot of things that has happened in MY life that the lyrics relate to and as for the Fans judging the band members it is so annoying because the same thing is going on in the 5sos fandom where the fans are judging Ashton and Calum for doing shit that honestly it's really a big deal and it makes me want to stop liking the band all together to be honest. Because they're coming up with rediculous rumors and it's quite annoying with all the drama. Basically what I'm saying is that you're right fans need to just enjoy the music and stop judging sorry for the rant lol

+Andre Burton In my experience as a person who dabbles with guitar, ukulele, and bass I find that guitar is the most difficult to make sound "good" as a newbie. No one is interested enough in uke to even notice if it sounds bad but there is a technique that is difficult to master when a person is really trying to learn the instrument. Bass is pretty easy to replicate note for note BUT there is a certain quality seasoned bassists have that I can't quite put into words.

The suggestion that Brendon is egotistical is so ridiculous. A big part of the draw for bands like this is the personality of the members - obviously the music is important, but a lot of the diehard fans love the MEMBERS. When Ryan and Jon left, a huge dent was left because two personalities were gone. Ryan in particular, who Brendon played off of during live performances, was a huge loss. Even though Spencer was still there, he was behind the drum kit, unable to really build up that personal connection with the audience live. So it was left to Brendon - he HAD to overcompensate. Dallon is awesome, but fans are not drawn to him nearly as much as they were to Jon and Ryan. And now with Spencer fighting his addiction, Brendon is the main personality draw in the band. He must singlehandedly keep that diehard Panic! audience interested. His so-called "ego" is him working overtime to keep Panic! from crumbling in the face of such significant line-up changes. I feel like a lot of people who make that accusation aren't considering the difficulty of his situation.

@jucataurus6 жыл бұрын
Day6? More like Slay6 I talk not only about the musical talent ( Brendon Urie is better than trap musicians ) I talk about the original composition and technical expertise, minimalism and power. Matt Bellamy even mix in a song Latin American rithms with rock and classical music chords. He talks about conspiracy and political issues. But that's personal likes. Brendon Urie is good, but he is the tipical American rock star, lirycs talks about aristocratical stuff....Matt Bellamy donate part of his money to foundations...in the interviews, he is so practical and simple...is a cult person. Drones is an album that is based in a book called 1985 by George Orwell. It's a pretty interesting concept. But is my opinion.

@ryan56399 жыл бұрын
Shane Hurley You do have to consider though that it's only because many of the members have left. They are still a great band regardless.
@myyk1e9 жыл бұрын
It annoys me how you think this. Panic! At The Disco is a band. They've got three (touring) members. Dallon Weekes Kenneth Harris Brendon Urie. Try going through what this band has gone through. Dallon has a family. Nobody knows wether kenny is officially in the band or not. Spencers in rehab. Ryan and jon are gone. And now brendons trying to patch up all the holes so he can get the bands shit together.
@shanehurley92569 жыл бұрын
I see where you are coming from but I think you misunderstood me. I was just saying I think F's sad how it seems like nobody cares about the other members nearly as much as Brendon, while they're all just as important
@myyk1e9 жыл бұрын
Shane Hurley Quite honestly, it depends on how the person relates to the band member or doesn't.
@danib.88109 жыл бұрын
Brendon is the only original member of the band still in the band. He Also writes and records most of the music himself. Man deserves appreciation for what he does, not people complaining about how touring members aren't as important as him. We love them, but Brendon does most of the hardcore work himself.
