Been blowing up Motorhead's official website with requests (pleas, more like it) for them to release the Lost Tape series on cd. Never can figure why bands/management/labels limit mediums and not release cd and vinyl, at minimum. Thanks for info, Brendon. Great post. ✌ Edit #1: Methinks is pronounced Z Von

I will be loading up on the 80’s act, Stevie Nicks, Duran Duran, on the top of my list hope to grab the CD’s of Ringo Starr & Eric Carr. I have to drive about 40 minutes to get to the closet record store to me, I also will shop on line to my favorite online independent record stores, Spin me Round records in Eastern Pa and In Groove out of Phoenix Arizona, both stores load up so they have extras to sell the day after RSD Day!

Great video! There’s quite a few records of the past years where the Record Store Day First titles never end up coming out as a wider release, one really popular one was Aimee Mann “Bachelor No 2, it’s now been 3 years and wish I had just picked up one of the 4000 copies instead of waiting.

How many record store days are there? I want a CD day.

Technically one a year in April. But they also put on one for Black Friday in November so I count it as 2 a year. This is the 16th year they have put Record Store Day on. The term Record Store is generic and can many any physical media case in point this year has LP, CD, and Cassette releases. But I too am hoping that as CDs gain popularity that more CDs are announced.

My local record store asks us to send our wish lists so he can order the titles in. He shared the prices for my order - Mr Big debut is £43! for a single record. The Van Halen live album is £120!!! I add up all my wish list items and it'll bankrupt me. Are the record companies ripping us fans off?

Great episode. Nice to have those releases presented here. definitely interested in Ted Nugent and Eric Carr. The Klark Kent Ep is awesome too (Stewart Copeland solo), I have a 10" vinyl copy in the collection. Still nothing from Deep Purple, I don't think there's ever been anything from them for RSD... (maybe a 45rpm?). Cheers.

Unfortunately the UK RSD website doesn't mention if each release is an exclusive or a first. I can't work out if its worth queueing up for the Republica release, for example.

I’ll be much happier when they start issuing remastered copies of the studio albums with Hagar which are said to follow the live album. Kind of odd to start with the live album IMO.

I'm "in" for the Taylor Swift "Folklore - The Long Pond Studio Sessions" 2 LP. Rumor has it 115,000 of those are being pressed for RSD. That made me chuckle, until I realized that even won't be enough, and it'll still be somewhat hard to acquire. I'll also try for the Ringo Starr CD and the Pearl Jam live CD. That Pearl Jam release has a very interesting backstory. Unfortunately, with only 500 of the Ringo and 4,000 of the Pearl Jam being pressed, they'll be a little harder to get. I'm glad they're doing CD's and LP's of both of those. I would've got an LP and CD of the Taylor Swift RSD title.

The Pearl Jam is a RSD first so it will be made available later in stores and if you miss it for RSD you’ll have another chance.
