Hey, Brendon. I'm }{eywood, the guy who assembles this record. Thank you for reviewing my work. I really felt the pieces used on The Endless River could better be composited, what with many of the sounds concurring. I originally did this in2016, but later found more of the sessions and released an extended version in 2019. This is really how I want to present it.

I absolutely love it. I’d love to get my hands on the extended version.

That’s a cool idea for an album, Brendon. I love both albums and it would be cool to hear them together. I just bought a bootleg of The Beach Boys album, Adult/Child which was supposed to follow their album, Love You. Take care and Happy New Year.

Oh wow I’m going to have to look for that now! Thanks for the tip. Happy New Year to you as well!!

Sorry to hear that. I’ve seen it come and go so just keep checking back. Get on their mailing list. Also I’d recommend emailing them about it to know when it will be back in stock so you don’t miss it.

Brendon, I always appreciate your knowledge and videos. I mentioned a few weeks ago asking about the battery replacement for the Pulse cd. Would you be able to maybe show us a review/unboxing for Pulse and also how to replace the battery? Thanks, Rick

Brendon, I'm also a Pink Floyd fan, but I'm not interested in hearing the two albums combined unless Pink Floyd decides to present it that way. I'm sure the fan did a fantastic job with the sound and artwork. But, unless it's the band's total complete vision (title/mixing/editing/sequencing/art, etc), to me it's just a curiosity. If I had a copy myself, it would be difficult to put it on the shelf with the rest of my Pink Floyd collection. I'm not saying I'm right, it's just how I feel. I respect your opinion if it brings enjoyment to you. I'm also ok if Pink Floyd never releases a version with the two albums combined. Maybe someday we will get lucky with an official release sanctioned by the band! Thanks for the interesting video! Rick

I totally hear you. Up until I found this website rzrecord.jp I had zero interest in “bootlegs” but then I took a chance and found out that these are far superior to the typical low quality boots that are out there. Plus all the added work is still from Pink Floyd. You’re right it’s a curiosity and definitely not something from the band. But it does provide an alternate reality to the two albums much in the same way that other artist have different people do remixes for them. So I look at it like that.
@quentincollins6011 Жыл бұрын
99% this material was recorded during the Division Bell sessions. It's a conglomerate of the two albums as one. Done seamlessly and beautifully. You're missing out!

I primarily shop on Amazon. I also do a lot on eBay. If I can’t buy from Amazon I will also go to a band’s website too. Other music store websites are NEH Records and FNA Records.

I try to post daily or every other day. Sometimes I’ve got several things lined up and so I know what I’m filming. Since it’s January and there aren’t any new releases I don’t have a stock pile of those to review. Hence the Pink Floyd today. So at this point I don’t know. I’ll have to see if something strikes my fancy. If not I’ll for sure post something Thursday. And there is always the weekly Music News Roundup every Friday.

continued .... re-mixed UFO Strangers in the Night and created my own version to "properly" re-create the original and classic LP with the tracks in the right order and with all the added fluff removed - I even got the audience noise blending nicely. I will only ever listen to this "new" version from now on. So, re Pink Floyd release, I'd listen to it but would not necessarily pay for it. Good review though.
@BrendonSnyder4 жыл бұрын
I hear what you’re saying. If the quality wasn’t so well done, I wouldn’t pay for it either. But it’s a curiosity and an alternate listen to two albums I know and love. Now I have a new way to hear them that makes it fresh again. I see it as the same way that past albums by The Beatles, John Lennon, and The Rolling Stones to name a few, are getting remixes by outside people who are not the band or original producers/engineers. This one just happens to be done by a fan...who did a really good job IMO.
@calummcgregor36624 жыл бұрын
While ckearly not ideal that band is being "exploited" (although Dave and Nick are hardly hard-up), fans have been creating their own versions of albums for years going back to the early days of tape recorders, home-made cassette compilations, creating CDr's with favourite muxes, etc. It's a natural thing to do - to create something that works on an individual level. I don't think its a good thing to profit from this (ok to give profit to charity ... with band's approval though). Personally, I regularly create my own version of albums - especially ripping the audio from an officially released live DVDs / FM radio broadcasts / TV audio.. e.g. rip audio as a single track ... fade / mix out the tracks / drum solos / irrelevant between song dialogue to create something beapoke that works for you. Recently I took the re-release of UFO Strangers

Someone else's fantasy, not how the artist would ever release it, pointless.
@BrendonSnyder4 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s from a fan perspective. However the original album was to be a double album so you can’t say that it’s not an interpretation of what could have been. Definitely worthwhile.
@stuartraybould64334 жыл бұрын
@@BrendonSnyder I disagree, they obviously decided not to release it as a double, the music wasn't good enough. The Endless Drivel, as I call it, while released as a tribute to Richard Wright wasn't very good, very dull. If the artist didn't release it, to my mind it shouldn't be done as it is not done by them, in that case, it is worthless. The next thing will be after their death, the record company will release albums of unreleased stuff or tracks with orchestra added, like Elvis, Orbison, Cash and many others, idiots will still buy it.
@BrendonSnyder4 жыл бұрын
Well that’s your opinion. Personally I love The Endless River. If you’re ok with only hearing the existing catalogue no one will force you to buy thinks like The Early Years and The Later Years boxsets. Those are archival releases done by the band scouring the vaults which is no different than what record labels do after an artist passes. I welcome it, look forward to it and came wait to see what else gets released.
@stuartraybould64334 жыл бұрын
@@BrendonSnyder I have no issue if it is done by the artists themselves. The Early Years both was well worth it and lovely to watch old films, The Later Years unfortunately, was just too expensive for what was in it, too much duplication. Plus, for me anyway, they weren't much more than Gilmour solo albums and not that great. The issue is when it is done without the artist consent, such as this. If a fan wants to produce something like this for their own entertainment, that's OK but that doesn't mean it should be done for people to buy, who gets the money/royalties? The artist should get paid for their music, not the record company or some other nobody who makes something out of somebody else's work. Just my opinion. The more this sort of thing is done, the more money people make, the more this sort of thing is done. A viscous circle that reduces the value of music done by the artists and people wonder why the industry is in a mess?
@BrendonSnyder4 жыл бұрын
This video says it’s an unauthorized release so no one is confused here that this is not sanctioned by the band which means they don’t make anything from it. I agree that a band should always make the money from albums sold. I own all the albums, boxsets, Blu-ray’s, deluxe editions you name it. I’ve provided every bit of money I can to Pink Floyd. So for me I don’t feel bad about buy this in addition to everything else. That said, I’d rather pay Pink Floyd for this. I’ve got other Pink Floyd unauthorized albums like the 2016 remix of Meddle or Live At Pompeii. Both of which were included on the Early Years Boxsets but only as buried digital code. They authorized the remix for Meddle and Pompeii but then instead of releasing it as a disc in the collection it was hidden. So it a legitimate album but someone else had to decode and release it so it could be heard. Pink Floyd should have just included two more discs with those albums on it. Anyway, I realize this is different as Pink Floyd did not authorize the re-interpretation. I’m not trying to justify it. I’m just letting people know it’s out there. Plus boots didn’t kill the music industry, streaming did. But that’s a whole other issue.
