I've been setting up at craft shows for over 30 years. Over the last 30 years. I e learned that Sundays are really bad days for craft shows. Sunday are days people like spending at home with family or getting chores done and shopping done before Monday roles around. My best days have always been Fridays and Saturdays. On the3 day shows I sat up at. I use Sunday to pack up my items slowly. So I can pack them away better than just tossing them in my bins on Saturday night after a really long day.

Girl, your transparency is refreshing!! Your feelings about this market are totally valid and I get what you're saying about how this, to you, is a 'bad' show. I think with a little bit of time and maybe some more markets you'll be able to weigh out if this show is worth returning to next year! Keep your head up Brenna, you are doing so amazing, and this show doesn't define you as a business owner

Thank you for your transparency. These reflections help me with determining if a market/ craft fair is worth going back to for my business.

Love the financial transparency recently in your videos ☺️ I’m a crocheter who mostly makes plushies so for me it would have been an amazing market but I totally get what you’re saying about it being different for different items!

Thank you for being transparent in relation to the market that you just attended. I like the pros and cons of the market and this is something that I do constantly.

What I have found is that the larger markets, with many vendors, are where we sell the worst. The smaller more intimate markets where there are fewer vendors and products to choose from, are where we have the best sales. We also sell more expensive items like you! I have met you in person at the DL flee market last year labor day weekend. Tell your dad it's real!😜 Thank you for another great and informative video!

I really appreciate hearing how you “grade” your shows - it has really helped me to determine what shows are worth my traveling, expenses, time, stress. :) I am really learning to value not only my time but my product. I think the day and set up may have been a factor. I know I was watching the game (SKOL!) Maybe the event you were invited to was the reason to be there? Take care.

I love the fact that you are real and genuine with your feelings even though others may few "success" as different. For me just starting that would have been successful but I also understand how you being more experienced would not feel that way. Thanks for being real!!!

I agree with you about your location being a problem. I have lived in Little Falls for the pst 30 years and have been to every craft fair. I know exactly where you were located by the buildings around you. Again, you are right about people entering the craft fair area. My daughter sells soaps etc. at the other beginning end near the police station.

I appreciate your recap. The little falls craft show is a Minnesota staple, and I've never felt I had enough stock to sign up for it - and I've been vending for 30 years. Sounds like it has maybe gotten too big. Because yeah no one wants to walk 5 miles in the summer in Minnesota to shop! And for sure if the Vikings are playing no one is going to be at a craft show!

I stopped by on Saturday at this show and hi. lol It was fun to hunt for your booth as I never checked the directory to see where you were.

I have used your tricks with the banner and bungee cord, thank you for sharing xx
@terryo1463Ай бұрын
Just a suggestion with the banner so you don't have to bungee. I use velcro. The sticky velcro. I use e6000 even though it's sticky after so many times of pulling on and off it can become loose. Once I put on the e6000 on the sticky part is have never become loose. I put the velcro strips along a few spots not the entire thing then I just velcro the banner on. It stays on through rain and and wind never had a problem. Not sure if you will get this msg I know you are busy and can't read every single comment. Good luck at events for the rest of the year.

100000% agree with the small booth. I personally go to markets for fiber arts and if it’s hard to navigate/crowded in there I might not go in :(

@brennamandcoАй бұрын
Hi!! I got the shelves from WayFair or else I linked similar ones on my Amazon Storefront. I'll put the link in this comment for you as well! I actually made my peg board with my dad in a video earlier this year! I believe it was the video before the minot craft fair in April! Anytime you feel like that about something that you do and you decide that you want to tell people that that's how you feel remember those people that work 8 to 12 hours a day and only make 80$ to maybe a $120 a day and then imagine how we feel doing this for somebody that cares nothing about us and you making what you made for 7 hours and doing it for yourself we would definitely love to trade places with you.

That’s a rough outcome because that’s not even factoring in the cost of the inventory itself.

I really enjoy watching your videos. However, in this video, you were ungrateful. I also sell apparel, accessories, and glassware. This didn't discourage me from continuing to watch you. It just needed to be said. I still love you. This was some tough love that you needed to hear ❤
@kariharder519Ай бұрын
I think she’s being transparent. Which I appreciate. I also think it’s possible to be both grateful and disappointed. Duality is possible. Only responding because sometimes it’s hard for me, as an over thinker and over feeler (haha)to express myself honestly when I have feelings that aren’t typically acceptable. Just my two or five cents.
