I bought the Rousch/Brenspeed TVS almost 2 years ago. I already had Detroit Rockers and long tube headers. This kit had excellent detailed instructions. The install was pretty easy. I followed the instructions step by step. The first key hit it started right up, and I have not had to do anything but change the oil. My Mustang had 100,000 miles on the car and 60,000 on the engine. It is very fun to drive. I would recommend this kit to anyone interested.

Great video and Q&A. Just bought a used 06 convertable GT automatic with Roush in it, was ordered new this way, has 100K now, it was owned by a woman who kept it in perfect shape and serviced at a Ford Roush dealer in Oregon. I was worried that it might be getting weak. Watching the video made me feel good about the miles, especially since you said if well maintained don't worry. Learning a lot about Mustang builds from Brenspeed... just a side note bought this as a 50th. wedding present for my wife, we were talking about how much we missed my 63' Red split 427 Corvette with side pipes we crusied in during High School. So time for a convertible go fast Mustang happy 50th. she smiles every time she looks at it... Vancouver USA

That explains why despite always hearing "it only goes to 450/500", I've seen turbo kit claims and boosted 3Vs that go way higher in HP. All I got is an 07 V6 right now, but after seeing this, I'm definitely someday adding a GT to boost(or better yet, a 3V-era GT500) in the stable. I was considering a Coyote for some time, but I've been in love with the 3V's nostalgic looks since I saw it as a kid around '05.

@saggin 1 with a dialed in 3v you can easily get them into the mid 11s @117+ down the 1/4. If you go the extra mile with mild weight reduction and some lighter rotating mass components you can have a healthy low 11 second car. Many people got them into the high 10s on stock internals.

Great vid, definitely appreciate this level of detail. So all the options for 3v heads on brenspeed.com are out of stock, will those ever be in stock again? And if so, when'ish? If not, could you sell me a pair of stock heads (maybe you have some laying around)? I'd like to send them off to get ported and polished. I also watched the whole video. :)
@BrenspeedEngineering
@BrenspeedEngineering 4 жыл бұрын
We do not have any stock heads for sale. They are available used from various salvage yards. Make sure you dont get them off of a truck. The odds of the cam caps being trashed are high on the truck heads. They get grooves in them where the oil was not changed often enough. I see that a lot on truck heads, not so much on mustang heads.

I watch the whole video, last year my wife and I purchased a 2010 Rough Mustang for our 50th wedding anniversary. When I called Roush to get a build sheet they claimed that the car didn’t come from Roush. It is an GT Mustang and had only 5000 miles on it. The car is pristine It does have Roush plate under the hood that said it has 450 hp with 425 pounds of torque, and to drive this car it is amazingly fast To me. Your video makes a lot of sense to me thank you for the video.

'07 Mustang. Stock 3V. Detroit Rockers. Long Tubes. Stock auto trans and torque converter. Supercharged by Brenspeed in December 2008 and rolling strong at 116,000 miles +. Last dynoed in 2010 at 456 hp and 434 trq on an older style twin screw blower. Thanks for the good info. We all definitely need to see "No Love" rockin' the rollers and then you should take an audience poll to rename "No Love".......since she's obviously getting love now.......

Best 3v tuner out there. My 93oct Brenspeed tune for my 07 Sporttrac is absolutely amazing. Went from a 0-60 in 7.8sec to 6.5sec on a 4,600lb truck. Eventually I plan on making it a 400hp N/A screamer.

I hung around to the end. I’m am older dude who has had many older muscle cars over the years. After selling my Jaguar SBC/XJS I ran across a really clean 2008 GT/5sp. It looks great but after living with it a while I realize it’s not what I expected power wise. I’d like something to take to the local 1/8mi but it could use a little help. Glad I found your videos, I’ll be checking out more. Most of what I was finding was Kevlar shift knobs, halo headlights and stupid loud exhaust videos. I was starting to think maybe this just wasn’t my crowd lol. Most of what I know about are big cube motors with carbs so definitely a learning curve on this sweet little car.

I really like the way you explained the difference between HP & TRQ! I have a 2007 4.6L GT 3 Valve(114K Miles). I would like to get the most Torque I can from her with or W/Out Boost. She has Long Tube Headers, Performance Aluminum 1 Peace Drive Shaft, SCT Tuned, Air Raid Cold Air Intake. I am the second owner, but for the most part the car runs BEAUTIFUL! Please let me know what would be the best Turnkey Kits for my car you offer? Should I Boost it or keep it NA. I really want to Hot Rod Cam it for Sure & update her Transmission (Manual).
