Brent and I are contemporaries and I have admired his love and knowledge of hockey since I've been watching the channel. Intelligent and thoughtful, he always brings a level headed perspective on all things hockey and I have really enjoyed seeing and listening to him here. But...but...I admit I am late commenting on this video, I must have missed it, but given how much I enjoy Brent's commentary I was very happy to see his picked my team, the New York Islanders as his 4th favorite team. Nice going, Brent. You add so much to the channel and I can honestly say a man whose opinion I respect who likes my team on top of it, you really made my day! Go Habs! ;)

I can completely agree with the friendliness that exists between Detroit and Montreal. I went to a game Bell Centre and the Habs fans were awesome. They were genuinely happy that I had an interest in seeing their team play at home and said nothing but great things about the Red Wings.

Brad Marchand's nickname would be "A Little Ball of Hate." He's the kind of player you absolutely love if he's on your team, you completely despise if you route for any one else in the NHL because he's tough, knowledgeable, passionate, and will do anything for the team, the city, the fanbase for which he plays...I'm glad he's on the Bruins (our team) and wears black and gold! If he were to play for The Habs, I would say the exact same. Marchand is an example (a personification) of what makes sports and rivalries between franchises so great!

Being a Philadelphia fan myself, I can't deny some of the people are a bunch of lunatics when it comes to the sport. I come to watch my team and the game, and to talk about both teams and how they play. They're were two guys at one game I went to. One was a Flyers fan and the other was a Blackhawks fan. Instead of crucifying the Blackhawks player, the two went on to be the comedic relief of the section I was in. Both of them were being fair sports, as well as poking fun at their team and the other team. It was a pretty fun night.

I had the same experience as you. I was at a Wings game at Joe Louis against the Penguins. There were some Pens fans in my section and we were having fun ribbing each other, and it got better as the Wings came back from a few goals down to tie it and go to overtime only to lose in the shootout. We were all good sports and they were the first to step up and tell some of their own fans to fuck off that were drunk and beligerent and wanting to fight Wings fans. While I don't like the Pens (y'all won the 2009 cup against the Wings in game 7 on my birthday), kudos to those fans who were good sports the whole game and afterwards walking to the casino parking deck afterwards.

I went to a flyers game in 2008 they played Toronto. The stadium is fantastic. I'm from Pittsburgh but my family took a trip. I saw a Hershey bears game also. But either way you will love their stadium when you go there.

Wish you guys could have been in Nashville for the playoffs. Words cannot describe the atmosphere but the Predators organization does a really good job of organizing just the regular season games to be an entertaining event for all. It's a unique experience in the NHL and I think ultimately good for the NHL.

My favorite team will always be the Capitals. I haven't really thought about my second and third favorite teams until now because I'm still a relatively new hockey fan, but my second favorite team would be the Blues, just because they have a real solid color scheme, logo design, and jersey design 👌. My third would have to be Anaheim regardless of how bad their doing. I like the same way I do with the Blues: real solid logo design, color scheme, and jersey design. I haven't really watched the Blues and Ducks play except for when we play them at home or away, but I feel like I need to start.

To be honest out of all the original 6 teams, I’ve always liked Montreal the best! I think their fans are the nicest as compared to Boston, New York, Chicago, etc. Shame we couldn’t get the cup with PK! Also heck of a guy off the ice as well!!!!! Allez Montréal!!!! But yeah. 3 years late, but I get what Brent said about detroit. I was born there, bleed red and white, but I never had any ill will toward Montreal. In fact, I have been told that I have some distant relatives up there. Id love to visit one day.

Our rivalry is very exciting and I enjoy it so much, Montreal fans, I imagine, are great people; but I can't stand when people pick on Brad Marchand, he is a dirty player, yes, but he makes amazing plays... He benefits our team so much and his chemistry with Bergeron and Pastrnak is great... What annoys me is when fans of Pittsburgh and Washington etc pick on Marchand because they have Crosby and Ovechkin who make many similar dirty plays and don't get called for it whereas Marchand does for the most part! Okay, rant over... :-)
