It actually feels really nice being unranked and winning a game especially when that opponent is ranked. It's easy to become overly critical of your team when you are ranked really high because every mistake ends with a "these are not the kind of things a highly ranked team should be doing". Not a normal backup QB. Bean started all last year for Kansas, so he knows the offense and plenty of experience. Also, it was 49-28 in the 4th quarter, and at least twice KU scored on a short field due to 3 unforced turnovers. 700 to 400 yards is a good game, what allowed it to not be a blowout were those 3 turnovers and running out of time inside the 1-yard-line right before half.

If you’re a big enough brand and you’re 12-0? You’ll be there at the end. But yes, if you’re a smaller brand, you can be 12-0 and get the Weed Eater Bowl. Oklahoma is a big brand and would fit the former category, moreso than the latter.

Going to the game was great Was worried that overly arrogant fans would shout exclamations at our opposing fans while walking before that game like so many times before. None of that. Any mouthing done was done by the Kansas fans. It was a strict walk with humility and I loved every step of it. Walked into that stadium and got to watch our team put a beat down on their opponent. It was good to finally get a win but the win was against Kansas and I'm not criticizing Kansas they have my respect they've come a long ways in a short time. They've consistently played much better than the Sooners the record is better also, but in my view the positives of this win does not near outweigh the negatives of the three losses we have to drag around the rest season and realistically there could be more. How far back do we have to go to a year where Oklahoma had three losses during the season ? Just halfway through the season at that. My biggest concern is that those three losses and possibly more will kill the Sooners recruiting momentum. Coach v is sure right when he says winning is hard and props to all the coaches and players for the win. The shutout last week against Texas is a disgrace.
