Excellent presentation of history of the styles, creators, influencers, methods, tools and your approach. You may wish to consider repeating the questions asked so the viewers have an understand of what you are responding to from your class. Keep the programs going, these are valued for far more than the history. Looking forward to the next presentation.

Brent, if you ever want a tour of the inside of the Treasury building, let me know. The first cantilevered spiral staircases, lovely proportion, some beautiful details all around.

Really enjoying these classes. Lost our home in the Marshall Fire and now planning on rebuiliding. All 1000 people who lost their homes in this are are underinsured, but hopefully with some of what I'm learning our family will be able to leverage our dollars with excellent design to rebuild a beautiful home

It’s not everything about it, but your awesome.I’m gonna be gone sooner than later. If we don’t remember it and build it nobody will. The thing is I will only work for folks that can honestly afford it and want it. Few and far between are clients that are willing to make me leave the farm these days. What your doing is good.

Do you have a video or can you make one on plaster legs for a fireplace. Over the years I have had numerous clients that wanted their fireplace to look like a photo they found in a magazine, but meeting safety requirements make it impossible like you said with wood. Do you know of any good books or resources for this?
@BrentHull

No, unfortunately. We make our own for some projects. Or we install wood after inspection.

Were Palladian influences found equally in both Georgian and Federal styles?
@BrentHull

Good question, more Georgian than Federal for sure. Thanks.

Really great. Thanks. I'm wondering if you're familiar with architect Allan Greenberg's book "Architecture of Democracy," and if so what you think of his broad thesis there consciously tying this period's architecture in the U.S. to American founding-era classical liberal, republican, democratic, political philosophy, etc?

I'm very familiar with Allan Greenberg but haven't read his book. I'll check it out and let you know. I do think there is a lot truth in those statements.
