Egypt king Farouk was a coin collector! Google has other interesting stories, but "...was his ownership of two 1913 Liberty Nickels. Just five coins are known in total, but incredibly, Farouk owned two of them. Today, those coins are worth $3,000,000 to $5,000,000 each! With the entire Egyptian treasury at his disposal, Farouk’s budget seemed limitless. One of the most notable coins owned by King Farouk was the 1933 Double Eagle. Technically this coin was not officially released by the United States Mint, and thus it was technically illegal to own. Somehow Farouk managed to acquire one specimen that was trading clandestinely on the black market. Therefore, Farouk technically assembled the only complete set of 1907-1933 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles."

5:58 square Netherlands coin..."These coins were struck for both Suriname and Curaçao: 1943 (P) ------ 2'000'000 Curaçao (1'500'000 struck in 1944) ------ 6'595'000 Suriname (all struck in 1944) While Krause lists these coins under Curaçao (KM#40), more coins were struck for Suriname though, where it is not listed."

Army-Navy Production Award. Sterling Silver and worth from about 10 dollars upwards. Plenty on Ebay but probably paid for one of the bags of coins. 🤭

the coins with the date palms are Iraqi, and the ones with the Persian lion and heart shaped 0/5 (which is the Farsi script) which is similar to the Arabic hamsa of the same denomination.
