When we see a butterfly, we say its grandma although we're not filipino. Back when my grandma was in her last stages of cancer, my no longer uncle (cause he and my aunt divorced), had asked her, "Mom, when you reincarnate, what would you like to reincarnate as?" And she said, "npauj npaim" which translates to butterfly in hmong. Every butterfly that passes me, I always take a good look at it and smile. But since we moved, it's been a while since I've last seen one. It’s traumatizing especially as you come to realize what you witnessed as you mature. I've only recently started watching Bretman's content but he is so relatable and down to earth, love him! I really admire him being so open about his father's death and the way he made sure to do something to honor him. The 4 year anniversary of my dad passing was just yesterday but I always find it really hard to do something in honor of him. Burying the pain is so much easier.
