I love Bretman Rock! He FULLY represents us gay men of color and he’s been such a positive figure. We need more like him
@youtubeviolatedme71232 жыл бұрын
If Bretman rock "fully" represents all gay men of color, why do we need more like him? Unless you used the word "fully" for hyperbole, despite understanding that realistically no single individual can "fully" represent such a vast group of people.
@greenjuiceandabump2 жыл бұрын
@@youtubeviolatedme7123 because one person isn’t enough
@youtubeviolatedme71232 жыл бұрын
@@greenjuiceandabump Exactly the point I was getting at. Bretman Rock doesn't "fully" represent homosexual men of color like Nahdier claims. To say so means that this ad is adequate in representing that demographic. I mean, think about how reductive it is to say that Barack Obama fully represents African American males. The demographic is too large to be represented by a single individual, or even a handful of individuals for that matter. Yes, Bretman Rock is a "positive figure" and the public view of the demographic will be positive, but it's also reductive. Not every homosexual man of color behaves like Rock. It may sound like I have issues with this ad, but I really don't. I really only have an issue with the fact that Nahdier wrote "fully" in all caps in his comment as if to emphasize that every single homosexual man of color behaves exactly like Bretman Rock, which is a ridiculous statement.

Entire identity of what? Lmao okay so how about all the anime fanatics that arent asians? Do asians say something like that? How about all the people who aren't white, speaking in brit? Just cause they're born there? They stole that too? Enough with all of this. We're all the same species, we're all human came from dust and returning to dust. @nicole47102 жыл бұрын
@@Officialniera You cant "cosplay" black culture. It's weird to assimilate to black culture at your convenience, in his case for a check. Might I add, he has a history of making racist remarks about black people so it's even more disturbing that he copies us. Also, since you mentioned Anime, black cosplay content creators receive the most disgusting hate on the internet for simply being black. One last thing, being British is a nationality not a race. Any ethnicity can have a British accent. GOOD DAY.
