I feel you on that. My mom died July 2nd from lung cancer and she was 59 years old. I just played this song for my dad bc it reminded me of them. I dont know what all music you like but I personally picked "sister's song" by Alan Jackson for my mom. I had it played at her funeral. The loss of a mama is one of the hardest things to face. Our lives arent ever the same

The emotions behind this song ahhhhh you can feel it so deeply. This man knows how to embrace his emotions and sing truly sing from that heart of his. My fave line you wouldn’t know me if you knew me because to truly truly know someone from the inside out you really have to dig deep and get to know them for them everything that makes them who they are. To know their heart and soul and why they do the things they do, what helps give them purpose and to know their biggest aspirations and their fears and how to grow and adapt with one another. It is one of those songs that make you think about if only put in more effort to really be patient and get to know another person perhaps that relationship wouldn’t have died and yet I’ve learned god always brings people into and out of our lives for various lessons and reasons.
